I learned how to do it on a Mac, and I ripped stuff off of DVD's with a complicated series of cameras and wires because I am too cheap to buy a capture card.
I made my video with DVDs because no one in the class was available to do a video with me and I had no cast. I found it to be really fun and recently got back into it trying my hand at a FFX video. it wasnt great, but for an hours worth of work with limited cutscenes available, I made the best out of it and it turned out alright.
My second, and only video featured here thus far is the cowboy bebop one, and i am pretty proud of it. It is not the greatest video, but its worth a watch in my opinion. Done from 11:30 PM to 2:30 AM, I had just bene up 24 hours and decided to start a video. then i couldnt stop. I only had one episode of th show to work with, and no songs that I liked for it all that much. then i just ripped the song from the end of the episode and worked with that. The only copy of the episode I could get my hands on had subtitles, so i picked the subtitles I thought would fit the theme, and meticulously cut around the rest of them.
I am currently brainstorming a new cowboy bebop video, but I am going to need to get my hands on a lot more footage to do it. I will keep everyone updated on what i am doing video, and lifewise in my journal, maybe.
Basically I just hope you all like my stuff. I work hard with the limited supplies I have. Enjoy yourselves, and I hope you leave satisfied.
