Profile: Well, I'm kinda new to the AMV-making world, but I've been watching them for years. Typically, I enjoy really funny AMVs (The Baka Song, Failed Experiments in Video Editing, the AMV Hell series) and videos that cause some sort of emotional reaction for me (Cowboy Bebop-Only in Dreams, Rurouni Kenshin-Touched, FMA-Atonement). Essentially, what inspired me to make my own was a feeling that I'd get, listening to certain songs and simultaneously envisioning footage from anime I enjoyed- Sort of a tingly sensation. When things match up like that, I know I have an idea on my hands. The problem is that I either lack the footage or the editing skill... Sometimes, ideas I've had are done by people before I have the chance to get them into AMV form (most notably Naruto set to The Ballad of the Sneak, at Anime Boston 2005). Yet, having taken my first steps into the frustration-incarnate that is Windows Movie Maker, and moved on to Adobe Premiere, I have a sense for the technology. There are some things I still don't get... But I at least have enough knowledge that I can create competent, hopefully moving AMVs.
