[average 119.3 of 231962 opinions; standard deviation 432 ] - Profile: Some basic stuff about my history with Anime:
I grew up watching Dragonball Z on a local UHF station. That's the only anime I could really watch, except for the occasional Robotech tape rented from a movie store. So I basically just watched whatever I could (whatever was playing on WB or Cartoon Network - DBZ, Pokemon, Ronin Warriors, etc.) until anime DVDs started becoming readily available. Then it was all about Escaflowne, Cowboy Bebop, Martian Successor Nadesico, Orphen...and still wharever was on Toonami or Adult Swim. And then the magic of the internet opened up all kinds of anime-related oportunities. So that's pretty much it. I bet you found that informative, didn't you?
I started downloading AMVs through file-sharing programs like Kazaa and Morpheus, until I decided that I wanted to make a couple of my own. So I asked for a capture card and video editing software for my birthday and made my first VHS-fueled lo-res AMV. Thanks to VicBond007, I don't have to do that anymore. Thanks, man!
I entered my "Gohan's Super Happy Hour" and "School of Hard Knocks" AMVs into the Anime Banzai 2006 AMV contest. Although I didn't win anything, I had the honor of having "Gohan's Super Happy Hour" shown during the screenings. It was fun. So, that's about it.
