  • Profile: Well I suppose I can fill ya'll in a little bit about me. Before I came to this site I thought I was pretty good at making AMV's. Now my eye's are open to the fact that I had been comparing myself to mediocre videos downloaded over morpheus and limewire, (with the exception of a couple decent vids.) After reading through Phade's, and ErMac's guides I started to have a clearer understanding of the "Art" behind video editing. Before becomming a member I created 2 videos that by Phade's Standards are considered mediocre, but I like the concepts I had and I plan to remake them as my first real effort projects. I may make them available shortly just to have something out there until I can finish production on my revisions.
I am a 22 year old white male who enjoys all things electronic. I have watched anime for about 5 years either at friends' house's or where I could find some to download. Some of my favorite anime movies include: Inuyasha, Rurouni Kenshin, Dragonball Z, Tenchi Muyo, Escaflowne, Excel Saga, EVA, Ninja Scroll, Akira, Flame of Recca, and a few others. I also enjoy playing video games, (RPG mainly) that have close ties to anime. Some of my favorite games include: The entire Final Fantasy library, Wild Arms, Chrono Cross, Star Ocean, The Legend's of Zelda, Dead or Alive 2, and a few others.
I am fairly new to video editing but I have a sort of passion growing for it. I have tons of ideas that I would like to see come to life, but I have also taken Phades' (common sense) guideline's to heart so I am going to have to remain in the background behind all of you for now until I can afford to upgrade my machine to a more stable and powerful video editor. Currently I don't have sufficient hardware to produce the quality that I am wanting to achieve so I will just refine my skills in ripping/converting/cleaning small clips from DVD until I have the power to tackle larger clips, (not to mention the HDD space required to store perfect lossless HuffYUV sources,) without having to wait days to move on to the next step.
In closing, I hope to someday be recognized as a decent AMV artist, and using this site and it's members I believe it can be done. You guys are great, this site is awesome, and I am glad to be a part of it. If anyone has any questions or comments, or if you just plain want to chat, please feel free to email me.
