Your free to voice your dislike of lucky star. Although i assume u only saw the first 3 episodes or so. Its a really slow anime when it comes to building up to good parts ><
Also, i know its his opinion and i am ok with that. Thats why i use the journal to rant instead of raging at the guy lmao
Its fine if anyone wants to argue but yea i put long rants on my journal because it helps me get the words out without totally going rancor on someones ass :P -

And i agree that hes right and i shud work on my effects...but he acted like i dont know shit about editing.
I DO know shit about editing and i have ofc improved since that video was originally made. However, he acts like im a noob. This makes me feel put out the minute i read it...i didnt wanna read anymore at all. |x
Also, i guess hate is a strong word...but if a video's timing is way off for the entire thing...it tends to ruin the amv for me and ill make sure thats clear when i critique it.
I'm not saying that everyone should critique like me. I AM saying that there are better ways of critiquing than the way he did.
And i still feel as though the opinion was biased due to the song choice. Just because YOU dont like the song doesnt mean rating me low somehow is going to change which songs i like.
I'm the editor, if i choose a song, its the song that I as THE EDITOR of MY AMV chose.

No its not that i wanna change his opinion on my video. Loads of people hate that amv XD
The problem was that he was saying the video was bad because of the anime/song choices...and when he finally did get to why the EDITING was bad....it was very biased at that point and had no real critical thought put into it. If your going to hate my editing...id at least like a really good reason(i.e, timing was off, effects could have been better, etc.)
He might as well have said: "Anime and song were gay, video was gay, 2/5."
When i give critiques...i say what i enjoy about it first to give the positive reinforcement...then i say what is incorrect.... like timing and effects and then i tell em to keep working at it. I review videos like that whether i like the sources or not. Ive reviewed a vid with naruto and nickelback before....both of which i HATE. >_< i rarely give a video a low rating because of the song or anime choices. Its just not fair to anyone. -

This is a comment i got recently on amvnews:
To say the truth i'm totally addicted to the Lucky Star and i can spend hours watching (~ listening) to various "Rakisuta Sailorfuku remixes". But i just couldn't withstand this one even for a half a minute... These Rechyyy, Metrickz and Richter should be raped and teared apart (and then probably raped again) by a tentacle monsters squadron for completely screwing B-Complex's song... How the hell did you come up with the idea to use such a cacophony? It completely ruined everything, especially generic Lucky Star atmosphere... About video part i can say only that if you are going to use some masks/effects - do them properly, keep attention to details. And if you don't have time/skill/hardware to do so - don't mess with them at all. It's much more pleasant to watch plain no-effects video than a stream of raw flaws.

About video part i can say only that if you are going to use some masks/effects - do them properly, keep attention to details. And if you don't have time/skill/hardware to do so - don't mess with them at all. It's much more pleasant to watch plain no-effects video than a stream of raw flaws.

so in the end.....did i really deserve this 2/5 rating? i dont think so. a 3/5 or a 4/5 would have been more legit but a 2/5 is just pointless trolling. Can i do anything about it? Not rly.
