It's been a month since I last posted a journal entry. Now I look like the boss.
As the title says the next edition of the Con is coming in 3 weeks. Personally the updates with the previous edition were a success since I didn't have to reply too much messages about how to use a FTP site, since we added the option of the
Automatic Upload to the site, instead of just depending of the FTP site. Even the Boss didn't have too much messages to reply about how to use the FTP (Debutants that is their first time knowing what's a FTP)... but I guess that is the interesting part of a contest, since everybody was in that point in the beginning.
Returning back, there will be a few updates with the rules and the organization. Threads making the public preparation will be opened in 3 weeks, and there's something that is happening here in this country and has prevented me to be active these days in the other communities: I have been asked to coordinate, help and support the honduran community that will come to this edition. Several editors have shown an interest in joining the Con but the problem is that they need first a basic training. No knowledge of encoding, no synch, no knowledge of use of effects.... basically no knowledge about the basis of edition... which only makes me think that it will be just a bunch of videos without any purpose. I can't make them edit like they will win the Con, but at least they should do fine with a basic training.

It's curious how life might turn the situation into something you can handle. Although I'm in the beginning for a PhD and in theory, with no free time, One doctor has supported me to finish all the proyects I couldn't finish thanks to the hospital, and I feel like I have to do it to not discourage him.
Although it's true that my activities are not a secret for the people, I seriously dunno if I will have the motivation to completely finish them. Something true is that at least 1 amv will be premiered. This guy has really done something good for me that I can't be so disrepectful in this moment. Besides, the emergency will be ok since a new group of doctors arrived last week and they really want to keep under their control the section.

the org has decided to go back unactive, seems like this month is my time to return. 1 year is left before I can't go back to the edition, so I'll use that time to start doing some Ops, at a random time. It could be any video featured during the week, it could be an old video, who knows...
By doing Ops I don't mean going to the forum, I mean writting the Ops here, instead of just doing comments of 3-4 lines in the forum.

The Ginecologist

In the past I used to believe being ginecologist was once of the worst specialities in Medicine, and I thought I wasn't going to be involved with it.
10 years later, I'm in the beginning of a PhD involving Ginecology, an area that until the moment it's the one I developed the best asides with Surgery. It's the only area that could me make forget anything that is not related to the area (Including AMVs) and that's fine, I don't complain.
As a consequence, anything related to them becomes irrelevant once I'm into it. And I should laugh for saying that considering the time I've been into AMVs. But also, I don't complain for the time been into the community. It's just that I'm into something that could make the difference for myself. And perhaps after 2 years, I'll be back although only time knows
I guess the patients are the happiest people after my decisions, since they liked the fact that even if there's a soccer game (Apparently this country is the only one I know, you don't have to work when the national team is playing) I still continue doing attentions.
Even Dr. Miller is surprised that I could take the area with the rest of mates, since she first thought I was going to be into the Neurology area
and my final goal is to master the knowledge about the cancer in women, If I could do that I'll be happy than ever -
