  • Planning to enter to Akross Con? Here's some special info you need to know 2011-08-06 11:58:53 Normally this info is only available at the forums of Akross, but considering that most people speak russian and not english, it might take you some time to find it...

Unless you have lucky and someone like Trampler or Nightpunisher is at the moment :D

Ok, all the rules of Akross Con are already posted, but talking about MEPs you'll need this info if you're planning to make an entry and join a MEP:

    1. In the registration, the name of the MEP coordinator is the only one that will appear.
In the case of a studio, its name is the one that will appear. But since Akross allows only registered members to join, one editor will have to enter to the contest and in the registration form write the name of the studio.
    2. The MEP Coordinator is the only one who will vote in case the MEP classifies to the final
    3. The MEP Coordinator CAN'T bring an additional entry. The rest of editors participating in the MEP can do it ;)
    4. You can join as many MEPs as you want. There's no limit joining as long as you're not the coordinator of 2 MEPs
    5. The MEP Coordinator CAN join to another MEP as long as he's not the coordinator of the 2 ones
    6. In case your MEP classifies to the finals and your entry also, you can't vote for your own MEP
    7. It's up to the Coordinator the way he/she will show the MEP, but it's his/her duty to identify correctly all the material and audio identified. Unidentified material and audio will lead to disqualification
    8. If you have made a poster of your MEP/entry, contact EvilSpider so that when the time to premiere your entry comes, the poster will appear and not random pictures of the vid
    9. All the winners of the last 2 Akross Cons are classified directly to the finals (2009 and 2010). Akross members are classified directly to the finals without passing the evaluation of the hosting committee
    10. The hosting committee is the one that will decide which entries made it to the finals, not the people commenting. So don't worry if you get negative feedback during the con

This is some info you might want to consider joining. As a suggestion, you should work in your entry before the contest and not during the contest. Time goes too fast once the contest starts and lots of people who joins normally is out thanks for missing the deadline.

Good luck if you want to join to Akross Con 2011 :D

Seems that for my entry for this year I'll like to bring a drama one, but hey, today I found an amazing song, that it's gonna change the way we see Japanese songs. Problem now is that the Big Boss doesn't like Japanese songs in the contest D:

So, the K-on AMV series is gonna increase :D
After Psy-Kon, and the H.O.T.K, I haven't found a song that makes me want to edit.
The RAP lovers are gonna like this song since it will be my first time mixing Rap with.......

    No Samurai Champloo xDDDD
  • AKROSS Con 2011 coming soon! 2011-07-14 22:49:07 Although EvilSpider hasn't announced yet the Con for this year, we have had several surprises this year, and I'm pleased to let you know about the Con!

Artofeel is now a member of the Akross, the summer event in Akross, the Takugata 2011 has passed and everyone is quiet in the Akross cause our main event is almost here!

I'll like to see the people from the org in the AC2011. We had several surprises last year with Crossfade winning the Akross Prize, Maniaki bringing a delightful vid, and the rest of you that participated last year.

If I know you, you might get a message from me, although my nickname in Akross is not TritioAFB neither Lokitocatracho :O

And if you're new to the Akross Con and don't know how to use Aggressor creation's: the AMVSimple, I can teach you about how to use to get the preview and Standard Version :D

I can help you in any technical aspect of the contest (encoding, choosing footage, betatesting), excepting the organization. Only EvilSpider and Esc can answer questions about the con itself.

Anyway, next year we're celebrating the 10 years of the association so the big boss is preparing something as he waits for lots of MEPs and artistic videos.

Once the Akross Con is announced the registration starts at September so stay tuned! Now, someone should be editing his entry xD

  • Today is my graduation as an AMV editor 2011-07-06 17:36:04 Why? Today I received for the first time ever an anime DVD. I thought I already said that in my country, getting an anime DVD in its real quality is impossible due to a law that forbids selling Dvds related to anime. And the anime I received is HOTD xDDD

So finally I'm going to full-learn how to rip a DVD. And edit in equal conditions with my russian friends from AKROSS. After all, quality has been a problem in the past, but thanks to Aggressor's help and the rest of AKROSS people, that will not be anymore a problem
