Impressions with Houston // AMVs and others

Not bad city. Everything here is big... "literally"
Been visiting the medical centers (Had to collaborate with the authorities here assisting patients) and meeting the health system of the U.S (In my country I'll be ashamed if I took the decisions some of my comrades took with a patient) and seems very efficient, though I just need to watch a patient just to realize what disease/condition he/she has and not X rays exams
Visited the stadium, I'll soon meet the museums (I love museums), and finally go tomorrow to Austin to the IkkiCon. Hoping I can make it in time before the AMV Contest begins.
Food here is not a tasty as where I live (Confirmed: The Pizza Hut from my country is better than the american. This one tastes like Pizza I did 17 years ago :O), I've been eating a McDonalds diet (T___T) until I found a Grill reastaurant. Now I ate something ;)
Been meeting some people here (The girls seems to talk a lot with me, like if we were friends) but haven't met yet any AMV Editor. Is there anyone here, besides JubJub2?
I'll soon visit an Anime Shop (OMG, no shops in my country!)
And see how the perspective of the people here about anime.
About AMVs, after april, I'll have to start forgetting them. However this doesn';t mean I'll leave the org, La Zona, or AKROSS. I'll continue here as critic/betatester though my feedback will be affected thanks to the lack of practice.
In AKROSS is confirmed: I might not be one of the best doing AMVs but I'm a critic that doesn't believe in the Perfect AMV, that will describe all the AMV in all its aspects no matter who the author is, and a good teacher of AMV-making (One of my students made it to the top 10 of AKROSS this year) -

AKROSS Con is over and the best part is that I could have at least the opportunity to talk with several org members. I'm surprised that one of my students is in the top 10. So in some way I feel it like a win after all.
The reason why I mention several times AKROSS: I moved from AKROSS to the org a long time ago, since I'm a former editor from the russian community, even though I wasn't borned in Russia, but I hang out more with my russian buddies
That's the reason why I don't give Ops: I give reviews instead since we tend to be very detailed in everything
Oh and there's one video you should take a look. It's a remastered V from an Evangelion made a years ago. I even made the audio from it :P -

Ok, I'm really tired but I finally arrived!
So if any buddy that edits lives in Houston, PM me, I'll be meeting the city tomorrow.
And Ikkicon is getting near and I'll be there. My first convention in USA ever and I want to be ready with a new amv I recently finished -

This is the last journal entry I'll write being in my country, because the next one I'll write will be once I reach Houston :D
Ok, after a meeting, seems that I'll be present in Austin for the first time ever in the Ikkicon, so this will be offcially my first time meeting editors. I was highly dissapointed that in my country I was the only EDITOR that could win all the amv contests categories, but this time I'll have to challenge myself as the editor that will have to meet other group of editors.
So that's it. I'll also go to USA with the mission to bring new equipment as new RAM for my laptop. And it will be the first time ever I'll premiere a new amv being in USA.
The Spanish AMV Concordia will be premiered at december 25, is the second part of the series of AMVs My Story: I'm not Alone 2
Oh God... Neither a surgery made me feel excited like this :D
