  • AKROSS Con 2012 / Review 2012-12-07 13:13:58 -The edition 2012 of the AKROSS Con has brought a lot of surprises:

    -The first one is the increase of the Japanese participation. Seems that my idea of making a "Video-Tour" introduction to AKROSS worked very well with them. Didn't really expect them to join, but for my surprise, they didn't bring lots of MADs, hmmm mysterious.

    -The change of the page. This is something I've been requesting since 2011, considering that when winter comes, several editors keep talking about the event.
    Also, we think about 'Expansion' so I guess Facebook, Twitter and Vk can help us in that.

    -The addition of the new flags, although something small, now Spidey is not going to have problems writting the data of the countries that join for the first time to the contest.

    -Improvement in the quality. This is the first time the contest is not filled with bad clips in the first part of the contest. However, I'm not gonna say the 'Good' clips are the best. In other words, it's still average, with the exception of a few clips. We expect the second part that started with december, brings the best of the best.

    -The new editors and the old editors. If you ask me, I should be afraid of the newbies. In the case of the older editors, we already know what kind of video they will make. But not the case of the newbies. I just expect my students complete the clips in time and can also do it to the top 10 like what happened in 2011.

    -The return of the old winners. It's curious that they decided to return even when they said in the past they wouldn't join together in the future. This is when a certain person can make a change in the thoughts of them.

    Hmm, due to AC and real life, Been out from the org. But I must say that this delay actually has been useful, since it has made me focus in what really matters in both AMVs and Real Life.

    So in AMVs: The last clip from me that is for AKROSS Con 2012, will not take participation in the contest because I'll receive something better instead of the participation. So you'll have news from me during the finalists decision :)

    But still, you'll see it probably in 2013. Too bad the 'Funny' version of the video will not be available in the rest of the world, and only for the japanese community.

    And there's also the christmass time, so double fun for the end of the year.

    I expect to pass my last years of editor into an studio, so I'm interested in joining an AMV Studio. 10 years have been much time so it's time to take a rest

    So yeah, I only got 2013 and that's all 
  • Politics 2012-11-18 09:04:55 I'm 1 hour left before voting. Today We're celebrating votings at the country. We expect to have a calm day and not riots in the country.

    In other notes, the video is finally done. Masking time starting.

  • 2012-11-14 09:38:52 Finally everyone is returning to the job.

    I never mentioned this, but I'll do in order to not make any kind of confusion:

    In this country, any general doctor can do four roles:

    -Surgeon
    -Gynechologist
    -Pedriatic doctor
    -internal medicine

    That means that a General Doctor should know something about the four areas of the medicine, and the rest of areas like ophthalmology, cardiology, and the rest.

    But the General Doctor, will not receive a higher payment that the specialist will do.

    A phrase:

    'The general doctor knows a few from a lot , and a specialist knows a lot from a few'

    Now, if I go to USA or Europe: I can't work as a doctor since currently my license only applies for this region, so it's normal that if I go there, I'll be considered instead a 'Med student' and the reason is because that I don't have the minimum age to continue studying a new degree in medicine :/

    The extension was made thanks to an agreement we reached between all the members in the last meeting. Personally if we kept the old deadlines, without the extra time, I was virtually saying GoodBye...

    But now that I have the time, I guess Umika is going to have time to feature the story, as I'll do it too as the opposites sides of the AKROSS

    So it wasn't a joke when I kept mentioning at Skype that there was going to be 'Extra time'

    It was because I was already warned about the changes this year. I don't think we'll keep these changes for next years though

    I'm going to be energic this week. All the reviews for the new videos are already done, so it seems I'll have time to work in the video

    Since the moment the association gets the premier first, that's all what it should matters. I don't really get the factor to wait until December 25 to upload the videos everywhere (Or december 15 if the video didn't go to finals)

    But russian traditionalism, my friend. What can be made against it?

    The curious thing is that the rule has existed from the very beginnings of the association (applied to other websites and not YouTube, since YouTube didin't exist back at 2003)

    Now an off-topic fact:

    For some reasons, my channel links 'by default' all the AKROSS Con videos uploaded to YouTube even if they don't include it as a Tag or Title, so that's a reason the russians keep an eye in my main channel. That's why even if I'm not uploading anything, they still know who's uploading the videos and just show the links to the organization if penalty points are considered required
