JOURNAL: DarkSchneider (Douglas Beaver)

  • You can call me.....Quartermaster!!! 2002-09-14 18:55:27 Yo all,

Well, this day I have officially become a quartermaster, we've gone through rites of passage and we were able to go off-post this weekend. Woo-hoo! Nothing much I could find here, though I decided to get "Akira" on VHS that way I could slip it in the Day Room! heh heh! And Waldenbooks had manga books, unfortunately they did not have Neon Genesis Evangelion Vol. 6. Then on the way out, I played Beach Head 2000, Police 911, and Soul Calibur 2 at an arcade. At any rate, Three more weeks and I'll be through! No more Drill Sergeants! HA HA!

    PFC "Schneider".....signing off.

PS - In three weeks, there will be an update on my website, I do not promise it, I GUARANTEE IT!
  • New Ideas when I get back to what I do best!!! 2002-09-07 15:27:16 Hey all,

Thought I'd let ya know of my plans! By October 11th, I'll be finished with all my training and I'll be doing HRAP(Hometown Recruiter Assistance Program) for 14 days, afterwards I'll have 14 days of leave time, course I'll be packing for my permanent duty station assignment! YAY! Anyway, I'll let ya know of my plans and what happened:

Status of videos entered to AX2002: Sadly, none made it, I was totally outclassed by stiff competition. Oh well, maybe next year.

Website plans: They haven't died yet, in fact Asuka's Beautiful Day officially is one year old last august, and when October hits, My pride and joy, Sphroth's World of Anime, will be two years old. So in short, I hope to give both sites new layouts, and some more updates. I'm paid now, after so long too, so I'll also be looking into getting my own server for webspace.

Music Video plans: I thought it sucked that my vids didn't make it, so this time I'll send in two videos, two action and one drama category. Here's what I'm planning on so far:

    Video #1:
    Title: Tokyo-3 Rock City
    Anime: Neon Genesis Evangelion
Song: "Detroit Rock City" Performed by Kiss(Alive III)

    Video #2:
Title: For the Love of Goddess
    Anime: Ah! My Goddess
Song: "Forever" Performed by Kiss(Alive III)

Video #3: And oldie will be submitted. My most popular video so far, "Shinji Ikari - The Runaway", except it'll be remastered.

Also, I've recieved a request during BCT, so here it is for the curious:

    Video Request:
    Title: Eva's Vision
    Anime: Neon Genesis Evangelion
Song: "One Vision" Performed by Queen

Well, that's it pretty much. I have a lot planned for when I finally get out of training. So the rest you will know when I finally get back. Well, Adios for now. Lata!

  • Hello from Fort Lee, Virginia! 2002-08-31 17:12:43 Hey all,

Well, as you can see, I'm still alive!!! YAY! I'm currently here at Ft. Lee for AIT(Advanced Individual Training) in the field of a Unit SUpply Specialist! Just preparing for my future like everyone else is. I wish I could say hi by updating my site, but right now, I cannot do it at the moment! When I depart this place for Hometown Recruiter Assistance Program, I'll have time, so please bear with me, plus once I'm assigned a duty station, I'll have time once again to provide you all with another video from your ol' deranged Otaku! Me! Oh, yeah, and as of August, my other site, Asuka's Beautiful Day, is now officially one year old. Go to Sphroth's World of Anime and go to the Links section to check it out! Well, this is PFC Sphroth, signing off for now! Just posting to say, I'm alive! Later!
  • ....watch it fly by as the pendulum swings! 2002-06-01 21:26:40 Well,

Since My last Journal entry, it was about a month before I had to leave for Army Basic Training, now it's less than a week away. Jeez, I said it before, and I'll say it again, time flies!

But I have been preparing. In my last month before Basic Training, I have done many things. Did some more work to my site, however with things going on over here where I am, I didn't have time to do any heavy-duty updating. I did however, with what time I did have, got an "Anime Game Reviews" section up, and I posted the interview which I had with English Voice actor, Juliet Cesario, my first MAJOR update. So if you haven't visited my site, go to http://sphroth22560.tripod.com/ and take a look.

What also contributed to the less time I had was a plan that I had formulated, you see, whether I was going into the service or not, I told myself that I would enter some videos into Anime Expo this year. And so I have, I have just submitted three videos, all under the Drama category. They are "Fly away from Gaia", "Love out of the Blue", and "Belldandy Ain't your Ordinary Girl." I still wish I hadn't lost my previous project, "Rei's Disease", otherwise Drama wouldn't have been the only category I was submitting. Sucks! Ah well, unforseen stuff happens I guess.

So I guess in a way, this is my final Journal entry before going into the Army. So I will see you all later I guess, and I'll be back soon before ya know it. Later all!
  • Time is a valuable thing... 2002-04-30 23:45:34 Jeez, it's already the beginning of May.

And June 6th is creeping closer and closer with every passing second, ah well. Can't be helped I guess. At any rate, just ranting once again, like I always do. Oh yeah, and if anyone here has downloaded or is thinking of downloading "Belldandy Ain't Your Ordinary Girl", please be kind and leave an opinion, cause I think what I did with the video was something no one has thought of before(pairing the AMG anime with country music). Basically, I'd like some feedback please! Arigato!
