  • Nekocon will soon know my name! 2003-09-07 16:09:06 Well, I've been thinking...

    And I've decided what my second video submission to Nekocon will be! For all of you going, depending on the selection of finalists, expect to see either, "We could be Heroes - A Tribute to Alex and Luna" in the Drama Category, or "Anime's Greatest Hits(And Misses)!" in the Comedy category. But if they don't make it, they'll still show what wasn't accepted in one of their video rooms. If you ask me which would have a better chance of making it into the contest, I would say "We could be Heroes" has a better chance. But hey, if they don't make it, they'll still be played anyway, and I'm fine with that. It's like they said at AX2003, it's not about winning, it's about having YOUR video playing on the screen there. And that I'm fine with, big time! So if you're going to Nekocon this year, and if either of my videos do make it? Cheer for 'em please. Arigato! No matter the outcome, these will be the first of my videos to be at a Convention. 
  • First ever Comedy video 2003-09-05 23:13:11 Well, just completed my first ever Comedy music video. "Anime's Greatest Hits(And Misses)!" is that vid. I feel proud now! But it's up to the viewers. Please, download and tell me what you think. Arigato!

    The title says it all. SC2 is da Bomb! I totally kick ass with Talim, plus Necrid and Heihachi are awesome too. Weapon master mode is still a little different from the Conquest mode on the arcade and I'd still play the arcade just for conquest mode, but other than that. It's sweet! 
  • A weekend worth of ripping down the drain! 2003-08-20 15:37:15 Hey

    Well, isn't this the bomb? I spent an entire weekend ripping footage for my upcoming Asuka video, and I do the first little bits of editing. Then when I export a portion of the video to see how it would turn out, I get a black screen in the result window. What was the problem? I find out later that DivX 5.0.4 is a distribution codec, and it won't work that way. Well, since it's useless, I deleted 'em, now it's back to square one. Damn! And just an update on my projects and a rant all at once 
  • Bunch of things... 2003-08-06 18:10:58 Well, another day, another twist in things,

    Army can be fun sometimes, I just switched into a detail with another guy just yesterday, that day was my only day of detail. Then today, we returned to our unit, funny ain't it? And another thing, since I'm stationed in Ft. Eustis Virginia ::which is in the Newport News area by the way:: I just learned that there's gonna be a con in this area, in.....Virginia Beach. Yep, I'm talking about Nekocon. But jeez, I'm in a pickle, and so close to Christmas, either I gotta start thinkin cheap when it comes to money so I can go, or I just don't go at all. But regardless, Nekocon will be having an AMV contest, so I'll be entering that undoubtedly. I was saving this as a surprise but I may as well tell you which videos I'll be entering:

    Also the websites are great now, except for one thing, no two things actually. One: I've finally reached my webspace limit on Angelfire(Asuka's Beautiful Day) and Two: Sphroth's World of Anime is visited so much now, it's to the point where tripod will suspend the site for half a day now whenever the Transfer limit is exceeded, so now this leaves me with one alternative, it's time to find a domain. Think about it, all the sites that are up and I'm currently working on will be brought under one site, In time, you'll all be changing your bookmarks from http://sphroth22560.tripod.com to heck, maybe www.sphrothsworld.com, it's indeed a possibility, a strong one too.
    Basically that's it for this entry, just left my Journal untouched for awhile, and finally decided to say something. Also want to inform everyone of the other stuff mentioned. Well, later and thanks for readin'
