- What I'm up to in the holidays 2003-12-09 23:40:22 Work, work WORK. I've been working from 9 - 5:30, tue - sat. It's good fun tho (I hardly ever do checkout now, I mostly price stuff and stack stuff on shelves). It's really fun at Mitre 10, and the people there are nice [I had a nice chat with Laura yesterday - she's a nice girl, and her sister, Taryn is nice as well, although I haven't really had a decent chance to chat with her, and I find it really hard to talk to girls- :( . ] I havent had any time to make any amv's, but I did install a new video capture card over the weekend (and screwed up the internet in the process - no net for 2 days!). Dad fixed that internet problem yesterday. I'll make an amv with it sometime, but for now, it's work (I'll go into more detail next time, maybe).

The job is hard

The job at Mitre 10 aint bad, but checkout has been a little quiet these past 3 days. So I got to assemble a birds house in the quiet times! Fun. I get the weekend and Mon off, then back to work on tues (from then on, I'm working tues - sat each week). I may find it hard to fit in things like karate and stuff tho, since the job drains so much energy.
My cousins from singapore, and Francine (my cousin) also brought a friend along (Alicia), so thats cool. Apparantely they pulled a prank on me and my brother last night while we were sleeping, but I still slept thru it (I may get them back later). They r fun to play with. The only thing is, work takes up a lot of time, and now that I finally get the weekend off and can stay up late with them, 2 of the (francine and alicia) go stay the night at a friends in Howick! That leaves me with basically Michelle (and Elisha, but shes young). O well.
Been watching Ah! My goddess with Mich and Elisha (aka Leann when I want to annoy her), got thru 3 OVA's of it in 1 night! will watch the rest tomorrow. Time to go. -
I got a job

Well, I had actually planned to make a couple of Love Hina amv's these holidays, but I guess I'll only have time to make one now, since I GOT A JOB. My first job ever (yay!) down at Mitre 10. I begin on wednesday, the day after my last exam (geography - uugg). Shouldnt be too hard tho, hopefully. I'm excited about this job, and it'll help me to get an electric guitar and a video capture card. And btw, my cousins from Singapore ariive on tues (while ill be at my geo exam) - YAY! (It's always fun when they are around).
I went to Mitre 10 a while ago with my friend JJ, and I was asked if I wanted a job there by JJ a few days ago. He said that if i didnt go down on fri (yesterday), the boss would give the job to someone else, so i luckily got a ride with JJ to there and I said I was keen to give it a go (the boss there is really nice - like a really relaxed guy).
Anyway, lunch soon, then study for geo exam. - Got videos uploaded to my site 2003-10-25 23:34:56 I created a website on freewebs.com and put my 2 anime music video's on it. Then made an indirect link to them from the vid here. Didn't realise that it puts the vids on the "new dowloads" section again (doesn't harm me). Thought of some new ideas for my next anime music video (prob won't be dbz next time, unless a friend does a dbz one with me). I got some guitar tabs to the songs I'm thinking of making amv's to (this also gets me the lyrics, and if the song ain't too hard, I can strum along to it on guitar)
- Music Video completed and uploaded 2003-10-02 22:20:02 I finished my 2nd music video yesterday. I compressed and uploaded it today (the first 3 attempts failed when uploading, and I ran the vid through several programs to compress and resize it). The song is "Run to the Water" by "Live". It is an emotional Trunks tribute (I tried to focus more on emotion than action). I hope heaps of people will dl it, and give opinions on it (especially New Zealanders). Time taken on vid = 11 days, approx 4 hours a day. Date finished = 2/Oct/03 (NZ)
