  • Got amv3 ver2 up for dl 2004-02-07 06:13:01 I did an improved version of my 3rd amv (hard to find her), and have now put it up ready for download (took me 2 1/2 hours - stupid leech ftp program screwed me around, and has never worked for me, so I had to search for another free ftp program). Please dl if u have the time (its a small file - 11 mb).

I also started work on my next amv (again to Love Hina), but I ain't giving anything away yet. I should've started 3 weeks ago, but I procrastinated and got busy (my brother sometimes called me "The Procrastinator", but the usual reason why I don't get things done is because I'm slow and don't get around to it). I should have it done in a few weeks, since I sadly only get 1 free day a week now (school + work takes up 6 days).

Btw, SpongeBob Squarepants is on every Sat now (at 5pm) where I live (NZ), so I'll record it and capture it for use in my amv's (I find him really funny), and every ep of the simpsons is on every day of the week (at 7pm), so I'll get a few of those too.

Yesterday, I went with my friend (Bei Bei) to the Chinese Lantern Festival, and it was fun (I go every year to get a paper lantern to hang in my roof), but this year was a bit disappointing - it was about half as big as last year, there were no competition lanterns except for the primary school kids ones (in previous years, people have made really awesome lanterns for the competition) and I didn't get to see a Dragon Dance (and I didn't see much of the Lion Dance). On the bright side, the lanterns at night were awesome, and listening to people sing karaoke is fun (this guy went up to sing "Pretty Woman" but he's probably never heard the song before, so he was funny to watch).

Today, I saw "Torque" with another friend - it's ok i think. Some parts were good, but some were kinda cheesy (like the backflip at the end). Movies like that also tend to have weak storylines.

Work tomorrow (swapped shifts with another person), so I should get some sleep now.
  • A gift from a friend 2004-01-26 14:31:05 On Sunday (2 days ago), I met with my friend at church (he calls himself Peter88326 on here, but his real name is Bei Bei). He had recently come back from China (and when he was there, I asked him if he could find some anime on dvd for me). He came back a brought me a Love Hina dvd package (with the Christmas special, the spring special, 2 ones that say Final Selection and 2 other dvds with a different anime which I can't read the title of). Thanks Bei! Anyway, my amv's involving love hina from now on should contain some clips from the dvds (once I work out the best way to rip or capture them), because dvd footage is awesome. I'm gonna watch the anime on the other 2 dvds now, hopefully I'll finish watching one by the time I have to go to school (first day today, I only have to go in for about 2 hours).
  • What I did today 2004-01-14 01:37:07 Well, today was a day spent at home. I finished my 3rd amv and uploaded it today (to this site, and to my site), I cleaned my room and I also mowed the lawns. Not much else really happened today, it was almost a day to catch up on things around the house. I have to work tomorrow (I was off work for the past four days - the 1st holiday I've had since holidays started.), and I have 3 days off next week (I'm job sharing with my friend from now until school starts, then I work saturdays only). I'll write on a more interesting day later, when I have more time - it's time to wash the dishes.
  • Happy New Year Everyone! 2003-12-31 15:18:24 It is now the first day of 2004 (and I still don't feel any different than what I was 10 hours ago). Just wishing everyone a Happy New year.

I began to work on my first Love Hina amv this morning (got the first 10 seconds done in 1 1/4 hours, after spending 45 mins getting clips from the last ova. Hopefully I'll have it done in a week or two (if I stay dedicated, I work on it after work. I also have to give my brother time on the computer, so that may slow me down too. o well).
  • What happened today 2003-12-11 02:08:33 On Tues (2 days ago) I got my braces off my top teeth (took about 30 mins to do), and my teeth felt slimy and weird (I had my braces for 3 years - I kinda got used to them). It's good to have them off (my teeth look great without them, imo. And hopefully I'll sell more when I'm on checkout at work...).

Today, I took some time off work to get get a plate fitted on my top teeth (it's a little uncomfortable, and gives me a lipse). I'll now have to wear the plate for a month or 2 - but now I can chew gum (when I take the plate out) - YAY! =) Not that I chew gum often, but it's nice to know that I can now without the risk of the gum sticking to my braces.
I then went to vagabonds (geek store - my favourite) and saw some anime videotapes on sale for $8 each! Anime dvds here are like $40 normally, and tapes can range from $20 - $30 - so i pick up 5 tapes - Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz, a Samurai X tape, 2 Neon Genesis Evangelion tapes and Spriggan. I'll watch them sometime (I also need to watch the Neon Genesis Evangelion series to understand the tapes, as well as the rest of the gundam wing ones i havent watched. I don't really know what samurai x is about, nor Spriggan). I'll prob watch them on Sun and Mon, on my days off (I'll prob watch Spriggan first).

Caught the bus home, had pizza hut for dinner, while watching "That 70's Show" (really funny) and "Everbody Loves Raymond" (sorta funny). I'm now watching a documentary on dwarves (and it's sad to hear that people get teased for their size. This has touched my heart, and makes me want to be kinda to little people).
