  • 2004-07-14 23:45:34 when i wanted to edit i couldn't because of a blackout and now with the power back i don't feel like editing now. i am oping though through the exchange section so that should keep me a little occupied for a bit until i feel like tackling after effects some more.
  • 2004-07-10 23:53:51 damn damn damn...things were working out nicely in AE. i got the scene to zoom from out to in. it looked okay in the opacity i gave it in front of the other shot. i started working on the next part of that shot. everything was fine. i thought i had eliminated that extra movement. it turns out that i didn't like an idiot. man that pisses me off. i have to redo this now. at least it didn't take me forever to do this time around. it looks way better than if i would have photoshopped it. it's nice to see i am getting the hang of this program. i am sure it will assit me greatly. i am done for tonight though. i have little frustrations that i need to step asside for a little bit so i won't completely stop the project. since it isn't a major one i will finish it when i feel like it. heck it might be months before i finish but it will get done. this is a good breakthrough. yay!
  • 2004-07-09 19:54:12 okay so AE is working okay. i edited the first part of the video with not too many problems. i learned how to move around in zoom. it was common sense i was slow last night. i'll probably leave the shot as is. now i have to figure out a way again to put that shot into the other shot. i did it last night but now i forgot how to do it like an idiot. on the plus side i got the blur to work perfectly. it is way better than premiere's blur tools. i am happy about that. push comes to shove i will just use the clips that i edited in AE to premiere and do things that way. i am hoping that the scene can be done in AE and i import it in premiere afterwards. oh crap....i wonder if i should have used the other scene as another composition. i just now thought of that. hmmm... anyway i'm probably done with AE for now. i'm still learning and i rather take a break to release some frustrations than throw my monitor out of this 7th floor window. it is a crappy monitor i need a new one. flatscreen would be nice.
  • 2004-07-09 00:54:19 i went through the AE tutorials succesfully now. i started playing around with some things. i can definately say that this will be a tad bit easier than going through photoshop and then premiere. i can see the results right there too. i do have to play around with the zoom button. i got it to zoom in but i can't navigate when i am trying to erase stuff. i am definately gonna have to break up some frames cause when i delete one part it will take away part of it in the future. i guess this project isn't so BS-ish as i thought. i am actually learning new techniques. everything is a learning experience.

p.s. that motion blur really made a difference in the tutorial. i had to turn it off and on several times to believe what i was seeing. bluge....not too big on that effect. not too big on shatter either. ^_^*
  • 2004-07-08 20:28:18 it turns out that i am heading towards another path in video editing. i did not want to use AE but I might really need help with creating now. i wonder if i was just afraid that i would get lost in the effects hype. however, i don't think that is the case. i only want to use it right now to do something that would take 5 hours to get about 3 seconds of video a little bit quicker. this project i am working on now is nothing major. i just felt like doing it. maybe i was just limiting myself a little without thinking of what i could do. well first thing to do is overcome this set back. -_- it always happens to me. first premiere doesn't take avs files and now this. what are the odds. :P
