I'm sitting here still searching for a job. One would think this would be the perfect time to work on amvs. However, I feel myself being semi lazy. I get more ideas but I haven't completed the ones that are ready to begin. For example there was the idea I have had in my head since two years ago. i pushed that one aside now. I was goign to do that for ACen but I decided to try something new. Then I'm thinking I shouldn't limit myself to just ACen you know so I'm going to try for a few other cons. I might have to borrow CK's dvds for one side project. Right now not many people are using the song. It would be nice to do that one asap while it is still fresh. Then there is the Ayumix project. I want to collaborate some. I think it will help me as an editor and perhaps I will learn more techniques and what I need to improve on.
In other news my Lost Lamb video is doing okay. Opinon-wise it's fine but star averages it's below average. It's fun to watch my videos "compete" with each other. (Right now Ghost of Self is in the lead.) Personally I think that was one of my better videos compared to others that I have made that was way more sucky but I guess it's too religious and short for people. I find that funny cause I'm nowhere near religious. The sucky part is that no one really can hear the record crackling in the first part of the song. That's why I used the old movie effect. When the crackling stopped so did the effect. Can't win them all. - 2005-02-01 13:33:09 I just chopped up the audio for my ACen video in order to help me detect the different sections in the song or places where I want emphasis. I never did this before so if this process turns out well I'll use it in the future. Now on the agenda is to look at a whole bunch of anime. This will be the first time I use various ever. I want to make it cohernt as possible and not stray from the story. Heh...but the story only has one theme so there is a posibility that it could look pretty random. I'll have to use my imagination to find ties. I should get to work now.
- 2005-01-27 19:23:19 Alright. I just ented Emcee Sak and Fate into a con so all I can do now is wait. I should work on the ACen video soon otherwise I won't be entering that con comp. Speaking of ACen so far the guests that are there I have already seen. While it is cool to see them again I might check out more panels or watch some more aniem this time. I guess I cna see a new aspect of it. Who knows maybe I'll get to the point where I really only want to be a staffer. :P
- 2005-01-23 04:56:01 Still up don't know why. I think I am coming to the conclusion that I maybe switching my objectives for ACen this year. This would be a challenge cause I completely hate this song. Okay the version I have I can tolerate more than the original but I still don't like it. Once again I want to manipulate it into something that it was not ever meant to be. I know this type of manipulation has been done before but I want to give it a shot. I am debating whether I should use various anime or not. It would be my first time using various. That would be a challenge in itself. I think I should do it. Besides, the other project...it's been so long since I first had that idea. I have no motivation to do it right now. Perhaps I will do it for another contest. I would like to get more exposure and try my luck elsewhere besides ACen. I shall see.
- 2005-01-20 12:43:14 I think I have decided to take on short videos. Yes I am talking about videos under two minutes. They are so much fun to do and I can pop out a lot of ideas this way. (Plus it's a great way to manipulate the music.) No worries. I'm still going to make longer videos but I want to specialize in small ones. How some of my ratings are the most complaining is that the videos are short. I too in the past have said videos are short but you know what...I say let's embrace them! Let the short video live! It ain't even gotta be a DDR song. You know how many OSTs are out there? Look at the potential. OST project...i wonder if anyone tried to tackle that. Probably have. I'm off.
