JOURNAL: lilgumba

  • New computer and laptop. 2007-04-19 09:15:33 I'm coming into the new era of computing. In short, I'm getting more ram, more space, a better video card, and a way better processor. I am debating whether or not I should kill my current project. 1. I don't know if it'll survive the transfer. 2. I have a newer Premiere that I couldn't use before due to computer incompatibility but I can use it now. 3. Well I have lost some interest in it. It seemed cool at the time to do it but I don't have the drive to finish that one.

I kind of had another video idea in my head since this summer. However, that's the same process I had before. My thing is if I don't get to work on it right when I am still fresh and willing to make it then it might not get finished.

Shorter projects I have no problems with. Maybe I should focus on shorts from now on. I tend to like them better.

I'll see. My new computer is supposed to be here today. If I am home I can get the laptop tomorrow.

Ah yes, grad school eats away at you. Choose wisely!

  • 2007-02-07 23:28:50 ram has been upgraded for awhile now but i'm still slow as hell as far as editing. i really don't know if i added anything since that last entry. i think i did because the timing seems a little smoother in the latest section. i'll finish that one when i will. it would be cool to have it done for ACen since it's been a year since i entered anything. however, the trial effects are so cheesy in the video, i don't know if i want to see it on the big screen. still i don't want to take them out either. it's my experimentations. it took long enough just to do them. at least the vid is at the chorus now. i could be a punkass and hack up the song to make this shorter but i don't want to do that yet.

in short this lil' gumba is not dead just dormant.
  • 2006-12-10 17:44:00 i edited a little before the comp crashed again. i need more ram. luckily i have one slot open. so i could upgrade it to 1 gig ram. now since my comp is 5 years old i have to find the ram. i wish it was cheaper but it's not. however, it is cheaper than the new ram out there so i guess i can't complain too much. maybe i can get it soon so i can actually do things on my comp again.
  • 2006-11-19 17:31:24 Yeah, I think I'm going to stop doing this current project. Whether or not I will upload what was done is going to be decided later. My computer is just going too slow.
