Not as bad as I thought

Saterday wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. All we did was load the magazines for use and that isn't that hard. I was with a good group, so it helped pass the time. To my surprise though, it wasn't Air Force people, but a group from 43d ASG doing convoy training. So there was alot of time between the need to fill the mags. The weather wasn't half bad either, it got a bit windy around three, but is was sunny the whole day.
On friday, me and a group of about seven went to see "The Grudge", it was accually good. It was set in Japan, and From what I was told of the original, it stayed pretty close. I thought it was funny how people in the theater were amazed at the amounts of people who were in Tokyo. One seen in the movie showed a crosswalk, I heard a few "wow's" fom around me. Before we went to the movie, we went to a mexican resturant down in woodland's park. The place was called, Fiesta Mexicana. Ran by mexican and the food was athentic, it really reminded me of where I used to work. A growning chain called 3 Margaritas. I started there when it opened in my town, I was the only American, the people were really fun to work with.
Elections really soon, better vote.
As it draw near, I find myself getting a bit more anxious. Which is the lesser of two evils, you know.
Still need to buy books for school. Damn I'm lazy.

Yesterday I was told that I would be going to the grenade range today. Come this morning, the shit hit the fan. First, when I was told yesterday, I was not told what to wea (Flak vest, load carring vest, helmet/kevlar), second, apparently here on post we no longer wear our caps but instead the berette(sp), those frence looking black things, even for training. The Battalion found out two days ago, I find out today. Anyway, The 1SG got mad because I didn't have said gear(someone has mine right now) second I was not told that I wasn't working the range, but "training" at the range. Well, like others I had butt loads of work from this week to get done, so if I wasn't working the range, then I wanted to do my job. To make this as short as possible, I have to work a range tomorrow, Can you guess why?
Enough of that.
The new guy in the office is back, Trevino, He seems cool. Though I kinda feel sorry for him since he'll get all the bitch work like filing and finding overdue officer promotions, and other fun eye straining work. He popped by as I was finishing the last of the work.
Tonight we will most likely see "The Grudge", might be good. It passes the time. Just like playing X-men Legends with two or three other people. Storm kicks ass. So does Rogue.
Got another scene in the story done, yay, did some more revisions, tiring. Good part is it is more coherent now. The two sides match upp better.
I'll be glad when I get off of active duty and get back in to college. Clas starts Tuesday for the english 121 that I'm doing through the army. It is accelerated so it will end in Dec. Need to buy books.

During lunch I was sent the transcript for the Nightline guy and John Stewert. I thought it was interesting, Stewert had some interesting views on the media. Some I agreed with.
I hate being to political, so I'll let you guys look it up on yahoo or something. Also CNN has a transcript of the Crossfire talk with Stewert. Also interesting.
As of late, my unit has been given the task of teaching Air Force soldiers to fight. That means, rifle qualification, saw, grenade, at-4, and so on. Even field med stuff. No offence to any Air Force people, but it just seems alittle weird to me. There are people 10 years in who never touched a rifle, even for basic training. I mean, I guess it's a good thing we are now and all, but why wasn't it like this from the beginning?

Tis the season to vote. I did yesterday, can't tell who I voted for pres, we'll you know why.
Referandum 4A, is a good law, increasin the tax on tobacco products. This tax goes directly to help health care and studies. What I couldn't figure out weither some of the referandums are not just state wide. Like 4B, the .1% tax on the arts fasilities is going to expire, this one extends it. The tax goes to help them. I said yes on both.
I tell ya, this election stresses me out. Who ever wins will effect me almost directly, EITHER WAY i HOpe for a pay raise. Or a promotion. Or...
Anyway, Over the weekend I sent in my laptop for repairs, The guy in the shop sounded a bit comfused, but as long as it gets fixed, I'm good. Saw "Team America", A bit stupid, satrical, odd. The music was fun, A beautiful song about missing someone as much as the movie Pearl Harbor sucked. Ano, I'm trying to fix the band on my watch with super glue, this is my third one. I just can't think of getting a new watch. This one had lasted forever. Good thing I have a back up.
Almost halloween, this means lots of candy in stores. Oh yeah, I found a long lots candy at the target near my house. Sixlets. Better than M&M's. I've looked everywhere here by the fort, none. Yay.

The president came to town today. Though I wasn't able to see him because of work. Of the people who went, they said it was one of his better speeches. They figured about only half was written for him. I kinda wanted to see him but really didn't care in the end. I am a democrat and never really liked Bush from the start, but I can't really hate the guy, he is kinda in charge of me. If he wins the election, he'll be back here again.
Lighter side of things, I finally got the mini Christmas album for Card Captor Sakura. I love it^-^. I'm such a fanboy though. Got some major rewrites done to the early parts of my story, very needed. My pass for this weekend was approved, just got to survive tomorrow, then it's by till Monday.
Not much else has happened. Good movies I've watched: 25th Hour, Pieces of April, Trainspotting, But I'm a Cheerleader, Saved, Gia.
Not much in the way of music: FLCL OST 2, CCS Christmas Mini Album^-^.
Well that's that, Ja na.
