People usually preach about getting to sleep in late. Well... I got to today and it sucks! At the moment of typing this entry, I only have three and a half hours until i go back to the darn fishmarket for work... and that lasts until 8 pm. So in all, unless i stay up late for the fifth straight day, I only have about five hours of screw around time. So let me tell you this... sleeping until a time of 11:30 is HIGHLY overrated.
Now to my other rants.
I'm still torn as to what to base my BAV video on. I was listening to "All About Soul [Remix]" by Billy Joel (hey, that rhymed) and it sparked some thoughts about a video depicting the relationships between Akari and Itchan as well as Akari and Kris (Why did the straightout lesbian have to be named Kris Christopher?) Anyway. If you look at the lyrics:

My only problem with this song is that it spans 6:01 minutes and there are two parts consisting of only "nana na na na na naaaaa ohooh" which I can't think of what to put there.
My second option would be (and don't kill me) "You Can Do It [If You Really Try]" by John Ledford. For thoses who don't know, it's the last song on the CD Pokemon 2BA Master. This would be an Akari tribute that could work if I can figure out the scenes. The only flaw is the line "Ever since you were a young man." I'm not sure If i should just play that as if it were being sung as "Ever since you were a young girl" or something like that. It is a good length of 3:11. But in being so short, I don't think i can get my point across adequatly. The only scene i have etched in my head is the one with "Spread your wings and learn to fly" I can use when Akari assumes Tomoe running stance which knocked Larri out of the 2000 meter dash in the Great Tournament. Aside from that, I'm shooting blanks.
Another would be to ditch BAV and go with a multiple anime project. My thought was to use "Wizards In Winter" by Trans-Siberian Orchestra. It's a pure instramental piece, but very upbeat and multilayerd. If i could manage it, it would be mostly a fighting video so that would mean DBZ as a shoe-in. I could also toss Eva in there and maybe Kiddy Grade.
One video I AM going to do and it will be a great undertaking. I haven't seen it done yet, but a video to "We Didn't Start The Fire" by Billy Joel. My plan is to imitate most of the original video. Only removing the scenes of the family changing as the different eras go by. So it will only be a screen with different scenes representing each line in the song. some will be hard, some will be easy, and some will have to be manipulated. But it will be fun. -

I'm still not sure as to how I'm going to do this BAV video. I'm about ready to ditch the Akari/Ichino relationship theme in place of an Akari going from bad to good video. I know that has been done before and that's why I'm struggling to get a A/I video working. My only problem is what song to use and what clips. Itchan is gone for a good 12 episodes and there isn't much to use in eps 1, 23-26. God this is going to be a bitch. I guess I should just rip all the episodes and see what I can scrounge up.
