  • Breathe in... breathe out... 2006-10-10 20:08:00 Okay. I'm relaxed now. Thanks DivineQueenYeiweh and Arigatomina for cooling me down. I was a little pissed cus I thought I was being accused of "stealing" or plotting to "steal" but I must have misunderstood something (happens all the time). Anyway... I learned a lot today and the moral is... as long as the video is not the same as the orginal... feel free to use the idea. Just find a way to make it your own. This video will be finished once I re-rip my Sakura Movie 2 DVD (Accadenitly deleted it ^^;;;;). Look forward to it in the coming weeks.

  • Ethics and such 2006-10-10 18:34:42 The before mentioned video is a little iffy at the moment. That is until I convince a bunch of people that i DID NOT COPY IT!!! God Damn. I had the orginal idea, although a bit overused Sakura+Shouran paring romance feel good video. All I took was the fucking song. It was a song I used when trying to come up with an Elfin Lied video and forgot about until I DLd a random CCS video from almost four years ago. But who hasn't had this same idea? What about all those fucking DBZ Linkin Park videos? I don't care about being orginal at the moment. IT IS A PERSONAL VIDEO! I created it as a way to tell a girl I like her and to steal her from my backstabbing 'friend'. Yes, I am a pussy like that.

    The two videos are very different in my opinion. The orginal is a low quality WMV with little editing sync and random clips put in. Many of which keep Sakura and Li apart which shows more of a Longing from each character. My video uses mostly paired clips and has more of a "we are together all the time so why not fall in love" theme. So the overall display is significantly different.

    I'm not remastering or remaking the video. I had the idea BEFORE I found the vid in question. I tried other songs including "Do You Feel Like I Fell" by Belinda Carlisile and "I've Had the Time of My Life" by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes. But both were a little too fast paced for what I wanted to make. So I went looking at other romantic CCS videos for some inspiriation and I stumbled actross this one about ten pages in. I never thought, "this video sucks, I can do better." I like it even for it's poor editing and quality. Sure one clip is almost the same. It was an accadent and occures at the second chorus. But the rest is completly orginal.

    I just wanted to make a damn AMV using Sakura and Li. God I should never listen to my conscience again. I bet no one would even know this combo was done before if I never opened my BIG FUCKING MOUTH!

    I've got an essay to finish and get Katie's Mep video started... god today sucks...

    the vid was cute ^^ you might lose some originality points for making a Sakura/Syaoran tribute (there's like thousands) but as a video itself, the story and concept behind it is original on the most part

    and also you told me to ignore the occassional fuzzies in the footage.

    The song is also fitting, but maybe a little too obvious. XD I would sort of expect a song like this to be used for Sakura and Syaoran.

    Nice syncs on the beats, especially on the part where Sakura is twirling around in the snowflakes. A bit of lip fap, the only one I really noticed was the one were he's yelling I love you but there's no sound (I love that ep ^^) and some Final Judgement footage Razz Sync was otherwise very grounded, especially on the superimposing parts. Now I see what you mean in using them to indictate flashbacks or inner thoughts

    effects-Yeah, I don't think it needs any except for those flashback moments with the crossfades. Otherwise, it's pretty solid without them

    Um to improve the vid....um....naw, it's kinda fine the way it is, I liked it a lot. Just need to clean up the periodical fuzzies when you switch Premieres and watch out for the lip flap. I noticed a lip flap were it may have been a lip sync, but I didn't catch on. It was 00:23-27 but it cuts off. That could be a lip sync if it were a bit longer....

    The final Judgement footage though well synced looked kinda random. Maybe do the part were Syaoran looses or something? Or the end when Sakura is twirling him around. that's about it ^^

    Looks like the first draft is working fine. Now I just have to get the balls to ask JaddziaDax to check this out since I was referred to her. Damn... even on the net I have problems talking to any female... married or not...

    From the random crashes to the failure to render, he kept us on our toes and bugged many a tech specialist. But now that he has passed from this world to that great CD case in the sky!

  • Messed that up BAD 2006-10-06 17:29:11 I have joined yet another MEP. I wonder if they have MEPA (Multi Editor Project Ananamus) I know I raped that spelling, so fucking sue me if I don't know where the "y" goes . I just hope Jaddzia approves of my idea. It will be a pain to put together, but if I can do something remotly close to what Sierra Lorna and Zarxax can do, I can die happy.

    "It Was You" is nearly finished. I just need some beta testers who are familiar with this series. Again, I know JaddziaDax does so:

    This mep is a very good ideal but it hasn't been getting alot of attention and a couple of people had to drop out.

    Right now there isn't a limit for how many people can join the mep and
    the deadline is Dec 17, so there is still alot of time to do a video for it.
    When you guys finish your video for this mep I encourage you to check it out.

    Some of the rules are similar to this mep. You can pick any overclocked remix from any game from a sega system.
    That would include, Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast. etc.
    There are tons of remixes and you can listen to them here
