  • New anime titles in danger? 2003-08-03 16:28:01 In the recent year, many exellent anime titles have been released: Wolf's Rain, Naruto, GetBackers, Sprial, E's Otherwise, the list goes on. Many of these are in fact quite violent (what else can it be? ^_^) and deal with seriously non-kiddy material, like murders, bombs, guys who look and sound like girls, etc. This makes me feel worried about when these shows hit state-side.

    What will happen to these shows? Some of these have already been licensed by companies, like Bandai getting Wolf's Rain. That show is pretty gruesome at times, with blood flying here and there. Shows like these either get butchered and thrown on TV or keep the raw animation and get thrown straight on DVD. That is not the way to show anime on TV!

    Anime on tv should be uncensored, unedited, just like it is in Japan. If it looks kid-orinted like Detective Conan but "not suitable" for children, then put it on later at night so the TRUE fans can watch it! I just hope soon that comeone realizes this and keeps anime the way it should be-minus the Japanese talking on tv, and keep them enings and openings! Those rule at times, like the 4th GetBackers opening! Seriously, I think they got the South Park guys to make it!

    Back to topic...some of you may disagree on my views, but hey, this is MY journal after all. This is how I feel aboiut this after all, and it makes me feel uneasy to know that people won't be getting the original version of shows.

    Anyway, I hope many of you can help me down the long (and rewarding) path to making excellent vids, and I hope to talk to many of you soon ^_^
