Hmm, yes... it took about a month to learn After Effects. Took about another month to come up with an intro to my latest project that I was actually satisfied with. A simple and nice little composition.
I only need to finish my current AMV. Need to put an ending there and then I'm done with that. Then I can move on to other, more interesting projects. My current video is more or less just a practice run to redo one of my older vids, to see if I still have the editing spark in me.

Arctic Tribe 2007 Meeting

I take my words back. I played the demo of Supreme Commander and what a turn off it was. Scratch that off my list, immediately.
In other news, Arctic Tribe 2007 meeting was a success. Yes, some studios actually do those kind of things and are not just out there for the cool name you can add to your videos. We're also organizing next Animecon's AMV-competition and panel, so we got a lot of decisions made on that part.
A lot of work is to be done. -

I've come to the conclusion that I don't want to start my next AMV project untill I've learned the basics of After Effects. That's my perfectionist raising it's head again.
I can however work on a secretive finnish AMV MEP on the side, though... -

I think I should hide the story of my new anime music video under my bed for a while now. I still have my left side wisdom teeth to take care of apply for "college", attend an Animecon V meeting, start tai chi and learn After Effects.
But don't worry... I should start on it sometime - someday. Not that anyone should really be fascinated about my future projects, but I'm mostly writing this journal for myself and hope to keep track of a few things.
Org's forums have been quite... messy lately, no? Seen a few very disappointing threads.
Anyone else waiting for Supreme Commander? I used to play Total Annihilation quite a bit, own the game and the expansion pack too, but SC really looks like it'll be something very enjoyable. Go Chris Taylor!
