Why do these things happen to me?

Run editing software, receive blue screen. The annnoying thing is that everything's been working fine for ages and this error now comes up rather spontaniously. I haven't changed anything, haven't installed anything new... I've tested my RAM, hard drives, graphics card ect, but nothing seems to help. It's the ONLY software that does this.
I was supposed to edit stuff, too. -_-

Oh the webs you weave.

Looky what the post just brought. The Shield season 5 DVD box set and it's probably the thinnest set I've got so far. Four discs in only 2 thinpack cases. All good since a lot of DVD sets, especially anime ones, waste a lot of space.
In other news, I finally found a song that works with the Punisher movie. Took a while to find something, but I think I can make this work pretty well. It won't be for some time before my editing studies start, so I think I can finish this just before that.

Say it if it's worth saving me.

I've lately been hooked on watching The Shield. Again that is. It's probably the only police-drama series I just can't step away from. I hear season seven will be the last one and I'm up to season four now on the DVDs. Hopefully it can keep it's own level for that long.
Another series I've been watching is Mind, Body and Kick Ass Moves. This BBC documentary produced in 2004 was fine until the episode where everyone was in awe at how some martial artist broke a beer bottle with his elbow. The guy hit on the top of the bottle so only the bottom of the bottle broke and left everything else intact. It was explained as delivering "chi" from the top of the bottle to the bottom thru his elbow. I remember seeing this trick done by any average joe many times and it has nothing to do with chi. Kinda disappointed me because I've always been interested in chi.
Editing-wise it's been rather quiet. Still hunting for good songs and my slight perfectionism won't settle for just anything. Good AMVs have also been hard to find lately. A lot of new guys coming in with their firsts, most regulars already posted their latest works (which weren't too impressive) and no surprises have come up either.
At least the weather is nice.

That's not the shape of my heart.

The fixed link to my Cromartie High video is:

I am at the moment working on other projects not related to anime music videos. I've suddenly found myself wanting to work with live-action footage and I' currently hunting for good songs for the following movies:
-Gladiator (2000)
-Léon the Professional (1994)
-The Punisher (2004)
-Resident Evil (2002)
Know a song that would go well with one of these movies? If yes then let me know about it and I'll see about it. Best option is to e-mail me at jperho@hotmail.com. All suggestions are appreciated.

Cromartie High the Movie
2007-07-21 04:41:34
Title: Movie Intro
Source: Cromartie High the Movie
Song: "Jun" by Yoshida Takuro
Category: Parody
Download: http://web.maxinetti.fi/maxi.jperh/cromartie_high-movie_intro.mp4
I suddenly got an urge to edit, so I started working on this 3-4 days ago to satisfy the need. It's a pretty light-hearted parody I would say, basically just the original anime intro re-done with material from the movie. So far it has worked pretty well in getting people interested in the movie. I suggest watching it, as it was surprisingly well done and accurate considering how crazy the anime is.
