JOURNAL: Esrhan (Jari Perho)

  • Busy 2008-05-11 13:31:43 Too busy to edit any AMVs.
  • Quick Update 2008-03-30 16:37:58 What's coming in next week? Our chroma key projects. We all know it. Get a green/blue screen, light it properly, get a talking head and key out the color. This would all be too easy, so we're doing the keying process with a video mixer rather than in the edit. Producing material that's as final as possible is one of the attempted goals the teachers have placed for us. Makes sense. Another group is attemping a short Sin City-like scene, which is a rather ambiguous feat considering the equipment we have at the studio.

The lecture about ultimatte was also very interesting. A person who imports their equipment to Finland was talking about it and allowed us to test it a bit.

I wonder when I'll edit something that I can put here. It's been a while again.
  • The Year 2008 2008-01-06 17:12:34 A moment to reminisce.

The years really do feel like they pass quickly. A lot of things change, a lot stays the same. It unfortunately seems that for most of the time it's always the good things that keep changing. This is different with individuals of course and I wouldn't generalize, but from what I have observed this is the more popular path. It's strange how something negative can stay the same for so long, while a more pleasurable factor can quickly change on it's own without anyone even noticing or giving it effort. I for one miss many of the things that have changed during these past few years, and many of those changed very fast from existence to nothing. I wonder why. In a case or two it has either been an odd misunderstanding or a flaw in the other's thinking and logic. Once something like this happens, it's very unlikely for it to turn back to what it originally was. Reversing, at times even just healing, the outcome is rather impossible. Another one of life's puzzles.

The positive element with puzzles, even though difficult in nature, is that they can be solved.
  • Updates 2007-11-26 16:36:24 It's been a while but I'll be short nonetheless.

First, I updated my org profile a bit. Added some text about my studies and took out a bit of the nonsense.

Second, and the more interesting update, is that I finished a new live-action music video.

Title: Sic Vis Pacem Para Bellum
    Released: 2007-11-26
    Video: The Punisher (2004)
Audio: Clawfinger - The Price We Pay
    Category: Action
    Download: http://web.maxinetti.fi/maxi.jperh/videos/the_punisher-sic_vis_pacem_para_bellum.mp4

Personally, I don't think it's anything too fantastic. You ought to have seen and liked the movie to get something good out of this one. Depending on your taste of course.
  • aRTO All-Nighter 2007-10-21 10:15:42 This weekend started a bit differently than usual. We talked on Friday about what do about Saturday, since we annoyingly had school on that day. The lazy beings as we were, we decided to stay for the night at the institute and use the time on editing and watching movies. All this just to evade the early saturday drive to the place. Needless to say, it was a rather fun night, the editing is starting to become rather easy as a process and the hardware around there is worth getting familiar with, anyway.
