My old iBook was fried so I decided to try and rescue the data and transfer it onto my new MacBook. I couldn't start it up into Firewire disc mode (or w/e it's called). So I tried to run disc utility to see if I could get the damn thing running again. Didn't work and the disc got stuck and I couldn't eject it normally. I had to rip apart the laptop and remove the disc myself. I didn't care that I destroyed the thing cause I knew it wouldn't work anyways. While I was at it I took out the hard drive.
