Clothes shopping... I wish
Seriously, I would so love to have a boatload of cash, throw out every item of clothing I own and go on a mad spending spree.
It's just not going to happen.
Basically, I'm not employable.... extremely well-qualified but not employable.
There's just no jobs in the godforsaken town for me. *sigh*
Oooops, I just went into self-obssessed rant mode. Sorry, everyone ^_^
Music is good. Music is very good. Unfortunately I think I've embarassed myself a little with the musical choices I've used in this audio guide I'm doing for the site. I needed some things for demonstration and it now looks like all I listen to is Queen. ;-;
The Queen CD isn't even mine ;-;
Anyway, there's some Ella Fitzgerald in there, so that has to be a good thing :D
Anyway, I've 5/6 chapters done so far. It's still being edited and looked at but a preview version of the guide can be found at http://www.penguinhosting.net/~zettai/audio if you want to check it out. Feedback would be cool.

NTK is so damn funny. It doesn't matter if you don't live in the uk, it's still a damn funny satirical read.

"You played robbery with insolence and I played the blues in twelve bars down lover's lane / but you never had the intelligence to use the twelve keys hangin' offa my chain"
Nice lyrics there EK.
Damn, have I just admitted to knowing Dire Straits lyrics? ><
It's very rare for me to actually know where most of these lyrics are from that people use in their subject headers. Whilst I was bored yesterday I decided to flick through your and kusoyaro's lyrics to see which ones I knew.
I think I got about 25% of Hsien's and around 10% of yours, which I don't think is too bad considering that lyrics can be really tricky to remember out of context.
I suck at the whole lyric-at-subject thing. Hmmmm. Perhaps more Tim Buckley is required. Yeah.

Do you love me, or are you just extending goodwill?

AARRRRRRGHHH!
Listened to lots of bebop music.
Have disperate urge to play slide guitar.
Can't find my slide anywhere ;-;
*sigh* I guess I'll just have to go back to working out all the jazz piano stuff.
I love Yoko Kano's music but it can be so damn tricky to play sometimes >< There's shows with really dead simple stuf like Utena which despite it's seeming complexity is pretty easy. Sunlit Garden is a cinch in comparison to playing Purachina on the guitar.
How many key changes????
It's so well written for a pop song.
I'm finally getting the hang of most of the Kare Kano music now, which is great to play on the piano.
Bebop and Kare Kano are great soundtrack for that sort of thing cause they have such a good mix. There's too many shows in which their lighter incidental music is instantly disposable - but not these ones.
Kare Kano has to be my current piano fave though cause you can go from the really moody stuff to the dead silly Pa Pa-ya PAAAAAA! stuff and the jazz improvisations.
I must try harder on this bebop stuff though. It doesn't help that I've only been playing the piano for less than a year and am self taught. I really ought to get some lessons ^_^;;;
btw, the subject isn't a cry of self pity - it's a Bob Dylan song lyric, honest.
