My Neighbours the Yamadas set to music from Neon Genesis Evangelion. Previously unavailable this is a really special video and I highly recommend it to anyone. The couple loved it and have hosted it for all to see so go and check it out!

FLCL set to Speed King by Deep Purple. The behemoth has been completed and I'm very proud of it. It's probably my first really serious attempt at creating an amv since I came to the site and I think it's worth a download. Pre-release response has been really really good so if you like this video half as much as they did you'll love it. It's very wacky, pretty funny and definitely a little different from the norm (and that's saying something for a FLCL vid ^^)

Today I just got one of the best musical purchases I've made in ages. This stuff really takes me back. It's a compilation of early 90's dance music that's been put together by the London radio station KISS who were a pirate radio station until 1990 when they were granted a license during the birth the modern UK dance scene.

Shameless Rock Video is now encoded and I think it looks great.
I think the strangest thing about finishing this project is that unlike all the other amvs I've done, this one has taken so long that I'm no longer excited by various things that happen in the amv. I know I was grinning like a mad thing when I edited them but they are so commonplace now.
Thankfully, I haven't become sick of FLCL, which I think was helped by the fact that I never had any audio on my editing copies.
I don't think I'll be doing another FLCL video, though. I think I've stretched that poor little anime far enough.
Heh, I can actually go and watch some other people's FLCL amvs now that I've finished mine. I've been avoiding them as I didn't want them to influence my ideas.... not that I think there'll be any other FLCL amvs with some of the mad crap I've put in.
I'd be very afraid if there was ^_^
Today I'm listening to Ozomatli. Damn they're good. They are also without a doubt the best live band in the world ever - and I've seen a lot of bands. I don't know how anyone could go to an Ozomatli gig and not come out with a huge grin.
Oh, whilst I'm talking about huge grins, I have to do a big shout to MexicanJunior who gave me the biggest grin I've had all week as I finally got round to seeing Liquid Petals.
That has to be one of the finest feelgood amvs I've ever experienced. I LOVE IT!!!! It's just perfect. We need far more amvs like this. Thoughtful angst music and heartracing dance are fine but sometimes you just need a silly big ball of fluffy fluff.
It may not be the most technical video ever, thanks to the evilness that is Windows Movie Maker but that doesn't hamper it - the video is pure magic. Yeah, "magic" is definitely the word for it. So do yourself a favour and go and get a fistful of fairydust from MJ. -

It's done.
"Shameless Rock Video" has been completed and is currently in pre-release mode where I'll pass it on to a few people and do the last few tweaks, so expect a full release in a day or so.
I'm really happy with it, but I need to step away from it for a few days and then come back to it to be more objective. I think it's a good video and I thik it's pretty much lived up to my expectations. It's definitely my first serious amv project since joinig the site and finding out what real AMVs were, so I hope I've learned a lot.
Anyway, keep a look out for it. -

You can't WRITE comedy like that.
Oh and I finally go round to listening to some of the mp3s you've sent out recently. Really great stuff.
All of your recent mp3s give me a gooey feeling in their own different ways. These are good things.
