    Seriously, I've had *hic* them since 9:00 this morning and it's now 3:49 in the afternoon. *hic*

    This really sucks. They've given me a killer *hic* headache and the JUST WONT STOP.

    *cries*

    What have *hic* I done to deserve this?

  • Profile Image of the Week 4!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2002-07-17 19:11:30 Well the quantity of hits for my journal has dropped dramaically with the new sites, but I think people are still reading, just less frequently.

    Anyway, time for business.


    Yes folks, its that time again for the Profile Image/Art site of the week. (actually I'm a little early but I'm doing this whilst I have the time)

    Well, I've had fantasy of various kinds over the last two weeks and although this site isn't lacking in fantasy it also has a nice chunk of BADASS. I mean, check out that cowgirl - thats what I'm talking about. Lots of cool gun-weilding painter works in the top-illustrations and some genuinely interesting works of all flavours in the Original art:

    The site is called "nylonfish" and the work is by Chita who likes Michael Keaton and the Xmen, amongst other things. Anyway, it's very cool stuff so check it out. I think I've featured enough painter stuff for this week, I might plug something different next week.

    Actually, I have a second site today which I was originally thinking of including in my weekly pick called Childhood's End. I saw the main art on this site and thought - hery, this guy can do cute and cool at the same time:

    HOWEVER

    I continued to look through the site... hmm a couple of etchi panty shots in the non original stuff.... hmmmm that to heart pick is a little scraping the taboo barrier there.

    Then there's the junk sketches. Ugh. Yes, you've probably guessed it - this site isn't as harmless as it seems.... seriously >< just... ugh.

    Evil rolling computers.

    So, *stay away* and just look at that one cute pic I posted, ok ^_^;;;

    Anyway, next week I might compliment the cowgirl with this cool "bunnygirls with guns" tribute site I found this week :D

    Well, it's 95% done. It's in its prerelease stage, there's a few edits that I want to mess around with and some tweaking here and there but for the most part the video is complete.

    It's not bad. Not brilliant - and certainly not the best video I've ever made but I think I've done the best I can with the footage, song and concept. There's still time for changes though so hopefully I can get some feedback and make it a worthy addition to this year's DDR project.

    I'm currently uploading it to places so Hsien, Quu, if you are reading this I'll let you know where it is once it's uploaded so you guys can check it out. I hope it's not too risqué - for some reason the images that are perfectly harmless in the anime become almost dodgy when taken out of context ^_^ Sometimes it's hard to imagine this being a shojo show ^_^;;

    Video isn't moving as fast as I wanted to, mainly befcause of a very tricky instrumental and a difficult verse.

    I'm up to the last chorus and the finale so it should be a little easier. I'll probably have the beta release finished in a few days for a few people to look at. I want this to be good enough for the DDR project so I'm looking forward to some harsh criticism ^_^

     
  • 2002-07-12 18:00:10 MCWagner: There's been an overall journal slump since the new site has been launched. I think it will pick up again though. Lots of people are very busy making vids, which might account for things too.

    Video video video. Well, I'm not doing too badly - I'm *almost* sticking to the 30 seconds a day rountine, although it's a bit more like 25 seconds a day now.

    I've done 1 min 18 and it's not bad. This bit's really hard though, I'm not really sure how I'm gonig to tackle the second verse - as if this instrumental wasn't tricky enough. At least I know how it's going to end, although I have to be really careful not to have too explicit content.
