I could really care less about whether people vote for me or not. I'm just stated my honest opinion on certain subjects. And it just doesn't pertain to the VCA's either.
If you can't handle my opinion then don't bother replying to or reading what I have to say. Seriously, what kind of world do we live in when you can't express your opinion?

The VCA's This Year (My Full Thought)

It's kinda like you all are saying:
"Fu** the newbies. Let's vote for the same shit we have seen over and over again, and then, let's vote for the same editor again this year because he/she is great"
It's cool if you like those kinds of videos, but give other peeps a chance. I'm thinking about withdrawing my entries, cuz there is really no point in trying to compete with Nostromo, Chii, and a bunch of others, as it's nothing but a bunch of circle jerking.
My point is, while popular editors put out pretty videos....that's just about all they are.
While people oogle over these video's, the editors that are struggling to improve, constantly get flamed and harassed about why their video's doesn't measure up to this person or this video. While criticism can be harsh, it's no wonder why a bunch of people are turned off to the org entirely. A bunch of elitist who care nothing about the new editors and their wish to improve.
Just remember, we all started as newbies to editing and vastly improved. Who helped you improve? Was it someone giving advice? Did you say Fu** em' and do it yourself? If you did either f these more power to you, just remember that the latter choice was your decision.
Take me for example. I've put out video after video, in which they have steadily gotten better. It's been a constant up-hill improvement with me I believe and I try hard on my video's regardless of how long I spent on them. I video doesn't have to have a massive amount of time put into it to be good. It all comes down to a matter of taste and editing style in which most people just say bleh and move onto the next video. Either that or my video's get flamed for trying to be like this, or being too effectsy or beat syncy. Whether or not you like this kinda style is up to you, but if you feel that the video itself is an improvement over the last video that said person has put out, then say it...instead of sitting there and flame it for what it could have been but just wasn't up to par because it's not the way you would have done it.
Circle-Jerking and Ahhhh and oooing over popular editor's video's isn't really doing anything since most of the time it's the same shit we've already seen, just with a different name on a different day.

Alright. I'm officially peeved off. Now, I have a question. Why do people constantly have mass circle jerks over effectsy video's that we've seen a million times over? Just saying that for other people who have actually improved and other editors who are more deserving of a certain title in the VCA's, are getting shoved out of the way and not even getting second glanced because they are being overshadowed, by people who are getting massive head from the fans who oogle their old video's.
Just sayin, don't vote for people who we already know are good editors. I don't care if (insert random popular editor name here) wins or not, I want to know about the new upcoming editors that are doing a good job, not these OMG! Another effectsy video by (insert random popular editor name here) I have to watch it whilst I masturbate then spam it on the forums. What about the new editors that have come this year and made a huge improvement? What about editors that have been trying hard to improve themselves but always get flamed, but keeps making more video's that steadily climb in improvement. Just saying guy's. Stop circle jerking each other and vote for people who deserve it, not for the same editors and crap we've seen over and over and know are good.

The awards are here, but to my surprise.......(which I shouldn't be)......I'm not being mentioned. Which is fine. I want those to win who deserve to win. I have a lot of work I still have to do to improve. Though I have improved a lot this past year. Still though, I hope these awards turn out good.
