I told you man. You can't go wrong with FF XIII. At least, I've found nothing wrong with it so far. I'm a decent ways in and I have yet to get all my summons. Still though, I really do think you'll enjoy it. SE really did a good job on this one. If you need any help lemme know. That is, if you don't feel like digging up a strat guide. Then again, the game is pretty straight forward.
Though I will say it would be in your best interest to fight everything you come across. Due to upcoming boss fights, it would be wise to earn as much CP as possible because the boss fights get really hard later on. And in this game........A Synergist is your best friend. So have one of your characters delve the deepest that he/she can before these said boss fights, because Protect, Protrecta, Haste and a few others from that class are literally gonna be your best friend.

The soundtrack in FF 13 is pretty damn amazing. Almost everything you hear has Lyrics. Almost no Instrumentals. -

Well, I've been playing non-stop since Friday and I have to say.......I'm no where near halfway through. Only 3 of my characters have got their summons so far. This game is so long. You spend the majority of the game (so far) paired in two's and rarely fight in a 3 man group. I'm just now to the point to where I"m in a constant 3 man. I'm close to about 25-27 hours in already and the game is still building story. No end in sight yet. I mean damn. I realized this was gonna be a long game but I at least expected to have all my summons by now. FYI, you can't call summons out at will anymore. You have to save up TP. Between using abilities (which also use TP) and your summons, it's hard to keep your summons out for an extended period. Your summons fight beside you and you control him and your character at the same time. And during fights, you are tasked with only controlling one character. The rest of the characters fight on their own.
So, your summons don't just pop in attack and disappear anymore. Second, you'll find that you will stick with your beginning weapon for quite a while. Due to upgrades you can do to it and your accessories. Not to mention new weapons are so far and few in between. You mainly pick them up on the field. The lvl up system is almost identical to FF X's system. Though instead of it being called a sphere grid, it's called a Crystogen. In which you need CP, in which you gain through fighting to advance through the Crystogen.
Still the, the game remains epic all the way up to where I am. Though a bit repetitous with the fight cutscene fight cutscene, but it's to be expected.
Well, I've said enough for now. I plan on having it beat by Tuesday so I can upload some footage and write a full review for you guy's. No spoiler's.....I promise.

Anyway, so far, I've played some. The Eidilon Fights are badass, and Snow's Eidilon is just friggin Epic. I like that Australian accent on that one chick. For some reason, she just seems to be the better designed one of them all.
Partial Review:
Battle System:
Big Improvement over the previous Final Fantasy's. Let's say your character is downed and you need to use a Phoenix Down to revive them. Go ahead and use it. Because it doesn't use your attack ATB Gauge to use it. The pots and whatnot are sperate from the battle gauge. So you can keep the flow of the battle constant. Use a pot then attack right off the bat. I have yet to come to any slowdown during the battle's and thus it is very pleasing to the eye. Another good change is that nobody stands still during the fight, they are always either walking or running forward as you execute commands. Another pleasing aspect. Very Flashy, Very Fast.
Lightning
Well, what to say. Not only is she a Female Cloud, she also sports his emo self loathing attitude. "Maybe Serah Hates Me" "Maybe She Didn't Trust Me" "Why does it turn out this way" "Shut Up" "Whine Whine Whine" And don't even get me started on Hope. He's the worst of them all when it comes to Whining. He should win an award for that shit. Can get up the balls to chew out Snow for his -------- death.
Graphics
Top Fuckin Notch. Fucking Gorgeous. The prettiest Game I've seen in a long while. And the gameplay backs it up.
I"ll type up a full review Monday when I have it beat.
