  • My Way Of Giving Back To The Anime Community 2010-06-06 06:24:26 Alright, well, I've been thinking of a way I could give back to the anime community. And I think I thought of the perfect way.

    I recently bought 2 Boxsets. Bot Are FMA: Brotherhood. It is the same boxset on both accounts, 2 Discs in each Episodes 1-13.

    So I figured, Hey.

    I'll host an AMV Contest with the prize being the FMA: Brotherhood Boxset.

    So, I'm still working out the details and the rules and such and I know the logical choice would be to host it on youtube, unless someone presents a better way of hosting it, I will host it there.

    I will keep you guys posted, but I figure this is a way to give back to a community that has brought me such joy and a temporary escape from my RL.

    Episode 10 was Soooo goooood. Sad and happy at the same time. I think.....I'll be sad when this series ends. 
  • Cell Shading And RotoScoping 2010-06-04 11:39:34 Jesus.....you know......I never realized how much of a pain it was until you actually started doing it for a lengthy amount of time. Add in the masking and the Camera Movement and placement using AE for a video that is already pretty much 3D to begin with. I swear with every Fiber of my being that Heaven's Faith 2 will be the last video I do using these things. So time consuming and if you make a mistake, well, you pretty much fucked yourself to start all over from the beginning again.

    Seriously. I'm also learning Cell-Shading for some parts of this video and I never realized how hard it was actually going to be. In the movies it just looks like pastelle thrown over 3D rendered models, but there is actually more to it.

    The video is looking gorgeous in my opinion so far, don't get me wrong. Probably way better than HF 1 Could ever look, but I swear on my grave that this will be the last time I use these effects. I'm seriously sick of working on this video.

    Even though the Cell-Shading is only for a few split seconds, it's worth the look, but man. Not to mention all the frame-by-frame editing and keyframing I'm doing.

  • Looking For Someone To Make A Sig 2010-06-04 01:22:02 Well, just a few weeks or so until Heaven's Faith 2 is released and I have yet to come up with a good Sig Idea for it.

    If anyone would like to contribute a Sig to heaven's Faith 2 I would be much appreciative of it.

    Seeing as I don't have any experience with PhotoShop.

    As for what I want on it. Surprise me.

    Thanks guys. If no one contributes, then it's fine. I'll find a way I guess.
