  • Split/Second Game Review 2010-06-12 21:11:09 Well, for those of you out there who have been looking for a successor to Burnout, this is the game for you. This game goes far and beyond what Burnout could ever be. I find myself playing it (Even though I've beat it already) at least 2 or 3 hours out of my day because it is just so addicting.

If I had to compare this to Blur (A new age Mario-Kart) I would have to say that this has Blur beat Hands down. And the cliffhanger at the end of the Season Story is just like "Awwww, What the Fu**!!"

Even if your not into the racing gaming scene, I highly recommend you try this game out. in my opinion this is by far the best racing game to have come out within the past couple of years. True, the cars may not be brand name, but who cares as long as it is fun right?

Seriously, you literally have a Split/Second to make or break a race within the last lap of the race. And for those who like explosions, feel free to enjoy the hell out of this game. It's like it was made by Michael Bay. The game is best played on a big screen. But the audio all around is another area in which this game shines.

For best audio quality, I highly recommend playing this game on your surround sound. So many explosions.

The premise Behind the game is that you are on a TV Show called Split/Second in which you compete in a season versus other racers for the chance to race in the season finale of the series.

What really makes the story shine is the fact that at the start and end of each episode, you get a preview with one of those fancy Movie trailer Announcers announcing what is to come.

After you finish an episode, you get a preview of the next while the credits from the previous episode roll on the bottom.

not to mention the intro to the game and each episode (Credits Wise) Reminds you of the title screen for World's Scariest Police Chases with John Bonnel. From the shattering glass and the explosive letters that come together from shards of glass to male the title of the episode. Soundtrack is almost similar as well.

    My Rating:

    9/10

The only reason it gets a 9/10 from me is the fact that the audio does get a little stale sometimes. Even though the musical score sounds like it comes straight from an action movie, the music does get old sometimes. Regardless, for all you racing game fans that have been looking for something new. Definitely get this. It's a must play.

  • Heaven's Faith 2 Now Ready For Final Tweaks. Beta Testers Needed 2010-06-08 20:15:26 Well, I need beta testers to gauge some opinions on parts I think need tweaking. On the parts that need tweaking I have already removed the masks and what not and are currently redoing them.

The betas I send will be those of which I feel comfortable showing. The current beta needs tweaking towards the end, but feel free to provide crit regarding the rest of the beta. I want this done before AAC 2010 After all XD

Thanks guys. Here's hoping for some takers.
