  • Question About An Upcomng Anime: 2011-01-13 05:55:06 Well, we all know I am a .Hack fan, and am currently and extremely looking forward to .Hack//Quantum Which is due out on the 28th of this month I believe.

    Anyway, who else is looking forward to this 3 Episode OVA?

    The question however is, is this particular one supposed to be the final series or is there another full series coming out?

    Because I am aware the .Hack//LINK for the PSP is supposed to be the last game but there is also supposed to be one more series and was curious if Quantum was supposed to be the series in question.

    Now, temper tantrum aside, I must also express how badass this OAV was. Grantes it's only 28 minutes, but seeing Ikki finally becoming the Sky King after an Epic battle using his new found Wind Rigalia. Truly Epic Fight.

    Though, there were the underlying treacheries such as the Rigalia breaking after only 2 uses due to them being switched with a pair of fake Wind Rigalia. Leaving the question to beg, who was that girl that switched em out?

    Then again, I haven't really read the manga to terribly much.

    At the end it shows Ikki leaving the house to go on some journey to find his "REAL" wings.

    I would like to hope that there will be more episodes, but that would just be filling myself with false hope. Sadly, I don't think there will be any more episodes, as this OAV was done just for the fanbase and I don't believe it will continue any further thus making people loyal to the anime forced to read the motionless manga.

    The fights in the OAV were very jaw dropping and at the very start of the episode, Simca ,get's her ASS BEAT with literally, the snap of Ringo's Fingers.

    If you like Air Gear and WANT to check this out, I really highly recommend that you do so.

    With the fight scenes and the closure between Ikki and Ringo at the end [OMG Fanboy/Girl Squee moment...won't spoil that for you] you won't be disappointed. The only disappointment you will feel is at the end when you realize after all that badassness.....you realize that there will be no more animated badassness afterwards, and are thus left pissed off.

    Regardless. it's a must watch!!
