  • Can't Say I'm Surprised........ 2012-07-17 11:07:51 It's probably due to the fact I"m a huge .Hack fan. But I suppose it was inevitable and pretty much a guaruntee that I would be drawn to the new "Sword Art Online" anime.

    I guess I"m just a sucker for those types of anime's.

    Speaking of. I'm calling it right now. SAO is probably going to be one of the better anime's to end this year on. So I'm quite pleased so far.

    I also applaud this anime. It's treading in some dangerous water, PR wise. It's so similar to .Hack it's not even funny. The only difference is, in SAO, you die in the game, you die in real life. Where as in .Hack you get killed in game, you go into a Coma in real life. So I can easily see this anime being constantly compared to .Hack in the near future if it hasn't been already.

    But you are still in game during the whole debacle. I think this is this generations .Hack. Whereas people who want to know the whole story of .Hack they have to go through ALL the past media to understand the complexity of the COMPLETE story. Whereas SAO is starting off fresh and will be easier to follow due to it being brand new and having no backstory to have to go back and read to get caught up.

    Check it out if you haven't already guys. It's really worth a watch.
