Posting from Beijing, got off the train early this morning from Shanghai. It was a 12 hour ride, and to be honest it was really enjoyable, possibly due to the fact that we got tickets fro the soft sleeper.
So far things have been pretty uneventful here, it's the eve of Chinese New Year (also known as Spring Festival) so there are multiple fireworks going off every few minutes, making it a bit noisy. Been seeing relatives and stuff, as you do at this time of the year.
Well, that about sums it up from me... NOT.

Posting from the airport in Hong Kong. I've only been gone for a few days yet I feel as though I've missed out on so much already. Only managed to briefly check some threads on the forum, but it seems that nothing too major has happened. Other than that, nothing much to report. The food here is good, the beds were pretty hard though. I'm sure sleeping on a rock would have been a much more plausible option.
Well, it seems like my flight is about t depart. Off to Shanghai for 3 days! -

I've finally finished working today, so I'm free until I leave for Hong Kong in 3 days.
Funnily enough, leaving work wasn't exactly how I imagined it would be, it was more bittersweet than anything, of course I was happy to leave, but a little sad in saying goodbye to my workmates, who I've spent more time with over these holidays than my own friends even.
That being said, me an my mates went out to town one last time before I go since one of them is also leaving tomorrow, so it was kinda the last time we'd all see each other for awhile.
So, lots of goodbyes today, it's just a little bit sad, but at least now I can look forward to a long, good break. -
