    Pre-editing: 95
    Editing: 80

Look at that. My unfinished AMV is up to nearly 200 hours of work! Granted, I have to redo 80 of those hours because all that work is pretty much gone, but still...

Finished pen tutorial mask video #1 last night. Must remember to include tips on using Actions in Photoshop, saving paths and dragging paths from one file to another for maximum efficiency. I'm scratching my head a little about how to do video #2, it's going to look horrible (it's supposed to), but there's a variety of ways to accomplish this and I need to go at it honestly. I think I'll just lasso tool the heck out of it and mention again the time involved in doing it right (aka no lasso tool) and that it would take about four hours, all told, to accomplish what I did in a little over an hour with the pen tool.

So...once I tweak a few more things in the tutorial, it will be ready to go up. A few folks have been asking after it and I don't want to disappoint. I am still a little annoyed with the guinea pigs who volunteered to review the guide and then didn't follow through. *glares at said guinea pigs* You know who you are!
  • BAD, BAD, BAD, LAUREN 2006-11-21 12:07:38 No, it's not my song. -_-

I just discovered that every single one of the cover letters I've sent out to various potential employers contain not one, not two, but three glaring typos. No f****** wonder no one's called me for an interview. I AM SO ... STUPID. AUUUUGHHHH...and my cover letter even says something about my current job requiring a great attention to detail...jeez...how the hell did I miss those typos? I ran spell check and everything!!

AMV work: Continued to redo "Addicted to Love" so as to regain what I lost via hd malfunction. Problem: the song no longer is perfectly synched to my video, so I have to redo all my edits. Also continued work on the pen tool tutorial, specifically the masks for one sample video.
  • ...contd. 2006-11-17 14:33:55 That's bad how, if you hit enter while still in the title bar, the journal posts a page.

Er hem, as I was about to say, I now find myself in the laughable position of actually having LESS done on my Anime Boston AMV than I did at this time last year - and yes, we're talking about the same AMV. Thanks to several hard drive failures and various other horrendous incidents, I am literally telling Premiere for the third time WHERE to find the clips on the timeline because - although I have my project file (thank god), I lost all my clips and had to completely reload and reorganize them. Worst of all is that, while I have my clips (thank god x2), I lost all me mattes, custom graphics, AE comps and various other tidbits that go along with what I've got so far.

-_- Maybe it's a sign. Maybe...maybe I need to rework my AMV's intro sans all those custom-made tidbits. Yeah, yeah that must be it.

Anyways, I've got maybe four months until my AMV must be turned in, which is really horrible given my tortoise-like workpace. Will I get it finished? Will I submit it in time? Will I even get to be a finalist!? I'd BETTER!

  • You've got to be kidding me 2006-11-01 20:27:28 *scrubs eyes* Ok, so how is it that someone else nabs Lux Aeterna for DoC before I get around to it? Because it's an overused song, Lauren, duh. Right. -_-
