Type in anime (but not if you're at work or school). Type in AMV and be depressed. I was hoping for the .ORG logo or something...but, no luck.

It occurred to me last night that someone who's illiterate will seriously fail to grasp a lot of the jokes in my AMV, seeing as how they're text-based. @_@ On the other hand, how they would manage to locate this site, find the AMV and download it if they can't read? I don't think one year olds are currently among our viewers. They definitely shouldn't be.

If I make quasi-political statements in my AMV, will I be harassed? Will there be an unholy uproar at a convention like there was after Kiarrens' spoileriffic FMA AMV exploded at AB a few years back?

Example: Loz is using his cell phone to make crank calls. Part of the caption reads: "ET PHONE HOME? ET GO HOME!" and then, "Cell phones are a privilege, not a right!" Now, I removed the "ET" part because, regardless of how amusing it is, it's just not right in the context of my AMV, but some pro-illegal immigration folks (yes, that's what you are) with a major chip on their collective shoulder might still get their collective underwear in a bunch about what I am, perhaps, implying. Oh well, TOO BAD FOR THEM.
  • /me is maybe not sick 2007-11-08 13:00:10 I may have accidentally overdosed on my thyroid medication, or rather, the IDIOTS AT THE PHARMACY who screwed up my prescription recently, may have screwed it up again...heart palpitations, headache, tremors, stomach pain, dizziness, fever...yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep. Now I have to wait until I get home tonight to check my meds, which if I recall correctly, the idiots bottled in some bottle that it wasn't supposed to be in, so the label may not correspond to what's actually inside. -_-

Apparently I should contact poison control immediately, but since I've been (maybe) overdosing for five days now, I'd say it's fairly obvious I'm not about to go into a coma. I am getting worse, though. Feels like when I first started this medication, which is why it dawned on me that this may actually be what's making me feel terrible, not some weird flu.

The day video game designers finally create a horse that:
    A. Looks like a horse
    B. Acts like a horse
    C. Can be used like a horse
is going to be a very happy one for me. Shadow of the Colossus was the best I've seen to date, but even that game didn't get it all right. Assassin's Creed looks like it won't accomplish these goals of mine, either. tsk tsk

The Good: I've been sick all week, but yesterday was the first time I stayed home from work. I got a little more done on above project, therefore, mostly just the time-consuming, non-video editing stuff that I'd been putting off until I figured out what I needed to create.

The Bad: I'm not overly happy with it, but considering the length of time it's going to be on screen and how large a screen most folks will be viewing it on, getting every detail down to the last 1 pt. border right is overkill.

The Ugly: It really is starting to look like I need AE for this project. I spent at least an hour messing around with 15 seconds of footage and, for the most part, was unable to create the movement I needed in Premiere. The rendering times also are HORRIBLE, I have to wait about 30 seconds for 20 frames or so to render before I can see if my stuff is actually moving correctly because the preview mode can't handle it.

It's funny, I probably would never imagine I've put this many hours into this AMV already unless I was keeping careful records (which is why I do, of course).

My funny sauce is starting to run out and I don't think the grocery store stocks the stuff,. This is what I get for living in rural Vermont, I'm sure if I was in Boston or something there'd be a gourmet shop right around the corner with all the weird condiments I could ever need.

I need to find a scene in which Cloud can say, looking concerned, "I think I'm gonna need a bigger sword." I happened to catch 2/3 of "Jaws" over the weekend while editing and just about jumped out of my chair when Roy Schneider said that line. Must make...my own...funny sauce!!

Hey, what if I called this AMV "Funny Sauce?"

Only if it's funny, Lauren, only if it's funny.

    Right. :(
