I'm still in a state of mild shock. My paranoid, fantasy-loving Libran mind is telling me that this is all a conspiracy, that I'm suddenly going to get a PM from 300 people all saying "JUST KIDDING. 'BUSTIN TOTALLY SUCKED." Then my pragmatic self kicks in and points out that I'm not important enough to conspire against, and all is good.
In any case, I'm being called everything from brilliant to pathetic to emo hussy, so apparently I've managed to touch on a whole range of emotions. HA I wish I could make a big, special thread just to say thank you to everyone who got a kick out of 'Bustin. I think my absolute favorite, most gratifying comment so far is "I found myself with a stupid grin on my face for most of it." That's awesome, that is...exactly what I wanted 'Bustin to be all about, that is IT!! THANK YOU KRISTYRAT.
Back to conspiracy theories. It doesn't help that I'm pretty sleep deprived. Right now I'm about a third of the way to the way I'll feel after 3 days at Anime Boston. I usually take the day off work after the con just to recover. Apparently this is practice, because my big annual anime free-for-all is only about a month away. Still no word on whether 'Bustin was even received...*chews fingernails some more*
I need to just completely vacate the premises for about three weeks. Seriously. The goal was to finish 'Bustin and get on with real life. I need to get out of here. But wait, where's Ben. You were dying to see this AMV! You missed the big premiere!! :(

A Disturbingly Low Number of Hits/Stars on my AMV: CHECK - though what I do have is incredibly encouraging, so thanks, whomever you are. ^_^
This is proof positive that naming your AMV something that makes people go "What the hell??" is an awesome way to get them to check it out. I don't know if I'D check out an AMV called 'Bustin. Good grief, I'm still lamenting the loss of WCWSWKIA...not really, though, the idea of being somewhere in public and having to verbally state that I made Wakawaswikya is quite embarrassing. "I made 'Bustin" sounds so much better, plus no weird looks. -

I am so relieved to have this project over and done with it’s not even funny. Now I can sit back and wait for feedback like:
- I can’t believe you spent so much time on this (sorry, no one held a gun to my head)
- I can’t believe I spent so much time reading your journal (sorry, no one held a gun to your head)
- I can’t believe you would do that to Advent Children (sorry, they needed a gun held to their head)
- I can’t believe you made this after making Sephiration Anxiety (sorry, it needed a gun held to its head and the trigger pulled)
There’s also hope for more positive feedback, but I’m a glass-is-half-empty kind of person and prefer not to get my hopes up. :D

*huge sigh* Barring accidents, a bad Internet connection, thumb drive failure or other acts of god, 'Bustin will be available for download tomorrow. Hopefully in the morning...I'm going to try and sneak into work early and do my uploading then before 8 a.m. Most of the info on 'Bustin is already posted, I just need to lock in a premiere date and a few other tidbits and actually upload the file and then it will be all done. Well... except for the announcement thread, which I'll have to do when I get home tomorrow.
There is something wrong with America when every citizen does not have access to cable in their home if they don't live out in the boonies somewhere. Rural Vermont is NOT the kind of boonies I'm talking about.
I really want to go take a nap right now, except I've got four months worth of housework to catch up on before company arrives on Thursday. *sigh* Maybe just a little nap. Apparently my thyroid is failing again...I never used to be able to nap...
oh. and my mp4 is really nice looking, however there's a really, really funny glitch related to trying to play it back at full resolution: the video jerks a little at the exact spot that I deliberately tried to make my footage look like it's having playback issues. :D That's right, my special effect is sooo good that it actually causes the effect to happen in real time. How funny is that? On the other hand, my effect gets kind of wiped out because of the jerk and I spent a lot of time trying to make it look right... :( -

Why is there a video in the VCA finals with subtitles.
That should be a disqualification factor on principle alone - THE EDITOR USED FANSUBBED FOOTAGE AND DIDN'T EVEN TRY TO HIDE IT...omg...
...further proof the VCAs are dominated by people who shouldn't dominate them...namely people who think subtitles in AMVs and using illegally obtained, unaltered, flawed footage is completely acceptable. I don't know why I even bother stating this, but it really ticks me off.
The only relief here is that there is no way that AMV will ever win and I sincerely hope one of the JCA panelists makes a very pointed remark about it how innappropriate it is for a video like that to be in the VCA's at ALL.
