4 days till I'm leaving for Dragon con! WHEEEE!
WTF?!? 100+ views of my perfect Blue vid on the tube in one day? O_O
More ways I can see how an AMV takes a month plus. Being hyper perfectionist with ones footage, learning all the in and outs of transitions, and in the case of the last exile footage i've been toying with the last couple days, trying to weed out all those pesky bits of interlacing. Well that and actually figuring out how to make a decent looking fade out with premiere, or a smoother clip transition, heh somedays I really do feel like such a newb, but I'm still having a blast with it. Learn something everyday and all ^_^
And Last Exile is such a great series, if you've never seen it GO! WATCH! NOW! And revel in the insanity of Dio and the sheer unmitigated badassness that is Alex Row. I'm half tempted to just pop it in the PS2 by the comp and actually watch the whole thing again over the next couple, for clip hunting purposes purely, right... =p
That aside a question above is one that I am still curious about. Months of effort for one AMV, where exactly does all the time go? what parts and such? what program gets the most use? I'll admit putting in that much time..I'm not sure I'd enjoy it as much as I do. It's a little too much like work then.
Though it's true that a star count doesn't really matter much in the grand scheme of things, I still can't help but be a bit giddy about actually managing a 3.7 with the new Greed+Ed vid. I got buku enjoyment making that one, even more so when some of my friends starting laughing over the clips. Specifically the third playboy bunny *Teases, watch the vid if you want to see what I mean* Much as I love making them for my own enjoyment, it's getting a laugh from others, and making something good enough for them enjoy that I get just as big a kick out of.
Heh now if I could just get a little more feedback. I can certainly see what's wrong myself for the most part. But the few opinions and advice I have gotten? They're really appreciated. As an extra pair of eyes does help when it comes to mistakes, and a different way of possibly trying things, something I've got planned for the last Exile vid in the works now. Though the way things are going...heh...see you in a month =p

Musings of an amv newbie

Well not many downloads or comments yet, but at least my first few attempts managed an average hehe. Given the first was a WMM project I guess that counts for something.
Course looking back now I can see why they really are average, and smacking myself going "How did I miss that?" So it's time to try and improve upon things. I'll get me a thumbs up from peoples if it kills me yet. ^_^
Only a 2.73 for psychomima? Bahhh..I honestly thought I did a better job then that, specially with the auido sync in some parts, heh creator bias can be a biznitch though. =p
I'm beginning to really see how people can devote nearly a month to just one project too, given I spent 2+ hours last night bouncing between premiere and photoshop. But it was two very productive hours in the end as I finally managed to make a clip with no blasted lip flapping! Wooo! Kinda amusing reverse engineering the lip synch guide to make a clip with no talking at all, but it worked so hey. So that's 15 seconds down and only 3:45 or so to go.
Speaking of which there is a new one in the works. Another Full Metal Alchemist AMV devoted to greed this time. (love that banner with him in it) Even if FMA seems like one of those anime's that is overdone and not popular to watch *coughnaruto!cough* I can't help but like the series, and the fact I have all the footage taking up my HD has nooothing at all to do with wanting to finish my planned AMV's either >.> <.< Yeah.... Though on the plus side I'm giving comedy a go with this one, and not another jangely brainless action clip, so you all are spared that horror =p
Too many other ideas as well in my head right now, a last exile one, a gunslinger girl one. AHHH why do I have to go to work soon!?! Oh right it's paying for Dragon-con...damn reality. Well time to get some editing done beforehand, hopefully finish the rest over the next few days.
