Don't underestimate the silent majority. We see what we like and vote how we want regardless of what the table-bangers say. Defining art is as controversial as defining religion or politics - everyone has an opinion.
What is far sadder than people trying to sound academic about the subject of what is and what is not art is the total lack of any consideration for this site's purpose to not only catalog every amv ever created but to also be a place, "…dedicated to the creation, discussion, and general enjoyment of fan-made anime music videos.”
The, “enjoyment” part seems to be on the decline while cynical and opinionated rhetoric are on the rise.
It’s regrettable you have decided to leave but understandable.

Dear Journal,
Last night I went to the VCA voting booth and selected my choices. It was amazingly simple and uneventful. I just picked the videos I liked and clicked the little box.
I hope the people I voted for win.
