  • Relationships and Videos 2001-12-02 04:16:06 The more relationships I'm in, the more I begin to understand what someone should look for. It's hard to say what to look for because love should (and does) tend to just sneak up on you and there's nothing you can do about it. Of the many types of relationships that I've been in, I can say for sure that you shouldn't expect or look for them. I did that multiple times and it never ends well. Love and having someone to love is something that must bloom like a flower. Like all flowers you can either go buy one at the store (but that usually dies within a few weeks) or you can go for a walk and maybe happen upon a particular patch of flowers that seem very lovely.
What I'm getting at is that the two most recent relationships were ones that I sought out. The first ended on a bad note with my saying the wrong thing and her getting hurt and never speaking to me again...partially because I felt to bad, but also because she was so upset at me. The second started with a date that I didn't really expect to go anywere because she had a boyfriend, but it turned out that she wasn't happy in that relationship and she ended up being with me for about a month. However I learned that while she cared for me, she also claimed to have feelings for her ex. So, she was playing both sides of the field by telling me that she "needed time" but what she really meant was that she wanted to be with me at college and with him when she was home. To say the least, I was crushed; I had really liked this girl, but that's just not right.
For me a girl should be someone that all that I ever want to do with her is cuddle on the couch, or go out to spend a fun time with. Someone who I can trust when I'm not around as well as someone I can talk to without having her tell other people later on. This kind of girl doesn't exist, but it's a good model. Nobody can ever measure up to the expectations of anyone else, but that shouldn't stop you from having a goal.
So, what does this have to do with anime music videos? Well, I've gotten so many plans for the next few videos I want to do, but I'm considering, no am, putting them all aside for this 4 o'clock AM. idea; I want to create a video that shows both guys and girls in a process of sad reflection. The three songs I'm trying to decide between to use are very different in suggestion.
The first is Nubo Uematsu's Passing Sorrow taken from one of the Final Fantasy games, but redone and is a beautiful piano solo now. If I do this one, it would probably be the most difficult to do because the song itself is very passive and has no real cresendo to it that would keep the viewer interested for long periods of time.
The second choice would be a song from a cd I have that I own called Fairy of the Woods. Again, it's a piano solo but it has very powerful notes throughout the song, along with a sad sense of loss to. It would be very easy to include the death of an anime character and a person crying over it. Mix in a few eyes crying and a pretty girl crumpling and falling to the floor as if her very sould was torn from her body and you'd have a great video. Again, there are some passive moments but not too many and I can see something very pretty coming from this. However if I did this one I'll probably keep it to myself on my computer as a private collection because nobody else would understand.
The third choice is probably the one I'll use. Sadly I was going to use this song for another pure Love Hina video. There are so few Love Hina Vids out there that are good....anyway this one is the Three Doors Down song called "Be like that." It's a very good mix of boy and girl comparison lyrics that can be combined. I'm thinking that using clips from Love Hina for the lip syncs, Final Fantasy 8 for the sad looks, Eva for some misty cliff and sad looks, maybe a bit of vandread if I can find some good sad looks, Crono Cross has a very good reflective eyes that I'd use, Ah My Goddess you can't really go wrong with, Kenshin for looking happily but sadly at a girl.
Mainly I'd like to compose it of love hina though because I really do appreciate that anime and I want to honor it with GOOD music videos. Already I've gotten compliments from people on having a good video. I'd like to keep that tradition alive at Fallen Angel Studios. However, only the future will tell the truth.
  • The opening 2001-11-29 16:53:42 Well, Fallen Angel Studios has made it's debut on Animemusic videos and the webpage is now open so that people can either download the codec if they can't see the video. www.nthelp.com/james is the location of my site.
There are some links and my video, but space seems to be the real problem. I'm going to try to put up some anime wallpaper in my spare time when I'm not working on the next video (Top Secret). I'm thinking two more love hina videos in a way that nobody's seen before...in fact in one of them you won't even know that it's love hina if I do it right. However after that I'm really going to start cracking down on the 1000 music video clips I have of other animes and see if I can put together something that doesn't use the same old scenes over and over again.

I'm really happy, some guy named Jason E-mailed me to tell me how good my video was. I'm rather proud of the praise because I was uncertain how it would go over with the public.

I HOPE THAT SOME PEOPLE HERE WILL RATE MY VIDEO *hink hint*...but that's just a random hope with a very small success rate. I've noticed that not many videos here get rated.
