nevermind
2002-06-10 13:53:42
Well I don't really feel like finishing up the story, needless to say it included a lot of hiking in yet another lightening storm, a kindly jewish bricklayer, and the meanest (and strongest *gulp*) rottwiler that I'd ever seen.
Right now I have poison sumac on my right arm, fiberglass hives on my left, and god knows what on my legs that itch. Fortunately I'm feeling in high spirits (and I did end up drinking a bit earlier this week). I'm going to try covering my arms and legs in oatmeal later tonight. No I'm not crazy it's actually an old home remedy for when you have a rash or something similar. It really does work and it's a hell of a lot cheaper than some of the chemical stuff we have today.
Special thanks to OnlyFatChix for helping me with codecs. Also he's got a great vid in the works! Everyone support him, this guy has some great talent!

Tornadoes and Canoes!
2002-06-07 19:57:24
Well, where to begin with this entry....ah I know.
First off why did I name it Tornadoes and Canoes? Well, here's a story that's also a possible inspiration for a video. My girlfriend and I decided to go canoeing (this happened about two days ago I think) on a beautiful saturday morning....well that was what we planned, due to some other things that we did first (ahem not what you think I bet! Such dirty minds *grin*) Well anyway we made it to the place to rent the canoe at about 3. They checked the storm watch and there was supposedly a very minor storm passing over the cleveland area, which was pretty far from us. So, anyway, we are driven to the spot upriver where we begin our 4 mile (generally 3 hour) trip down river. The first hour went by fine, in fact it was rather creepy that this one blue heron kept following us down river, I mean it would always fly ahead and wait for us, then fly further ahead as if taunting us or watching over us. Well, after the hour of rowing, we both floated along for a little while. That's when we noticed the storm clouds building around us. We began to paddle faster, though we were only about a mile and a half into the trip (hey, it's beautiful scenery, no need to rush usually). Then I began to hear this strange roaring coming from behind us. Mine you the wind hadn't picked up around us at all, it was a dead calm. Looking behind me I saw this invisible wave coming towards us.
Now you might be asking how you see an invisible wave right? Well imagine trying to see a wave of wind rolling over a forest and stream, it reminded me (for lack of better words) of an invisible tidal wave coming upon us. I could see the forest trees behind the wave shakeing violently and the water rising in small waves of it's own. This whole thing was coming towards us from behind, I was captivated. Meanwhile Kelly, my girlfriend, was seeing the same thing....coming from in front of us. That's right folks, we were at the center of where two very large fronts were going to meet. Quickly rowing the boat to the shore, my girlfriend gets out and pulls the boat up just as the two walls of wind meet. Sadly I was still in the back of the boat. Within seconds I was soaked in a downpour of water. It felt as if there river we were on was being dumped on me. Slipping and sliding I get out of the boat and pull it full into the woods that was beside the river. We debated for a few seconds in the rain whether to ditch the boat and hike back to civilization (2.5-3 miles we guessed) or take shelter.
KRACK-BOOM!!!!
The sudden sound of thunder so loud it shook my whole body, followed by a gust of wind that turned the vertical downpour of water to a horizontal down(side?)pour closed the argument with me winning and us flipping over our boat and taking shelter underneath it and within the forest so the metal raft would have less of a chance of attracting some troublesome ligtening and cooking us to a crisp (I had no urge to become a human hot dog...although that brought up the question later of whether or not humans would plump when microwaved).
We were under the canoe and two more minutes into the storm when I looked more closely at the plants around us. Well, they had three leaves and the stems/roots looked more like those of vines.....I groaned. I then pointed out to Kelly that we were laying in a large patch of poison ivy. Of course we both took this in a stride (being more worried about finding out first person if cooked humans plump).
At this point I have to say that kelly is the most wonderful girl I'd ever met. She was scared but not freaking out, and she (like me) kinda thought that this whole event was an adventure of sorts. We were still in danger but still pretty cool.
The next few hours of our was when the shit really hit the fan, but since I have a hand cramp right now, this will be all until tomorrow :) Tune in next time for finding out how nuts Ohio weather, people, and soon to be mentioned animals are!

Michelle Branch and a new video
2002-06-04 12:35:20
Well, lots has happened since the last entry. Among other things I've found that Adobe Primere 6.0 doesn't like any other OS but Win98. Tough luck, I'm now in XP and that's where I'll stay. It'll just take a bit longer to do videos thats all.
NEW VIDEO:
My next vid is almost complete, I'm debating on whether to do lip sync or not becasue it really doesn't do much for the AMV if there's no action or anything, but for this song (Be like that, by three doors down) I'm not too sure. This video will be kinda a comparison of shinji (eva) to kitaro (love hina). After this I'll probably do a POD youth of the nation song. Summer is a great time to try new things.
NEW GIRL???
However now that I have a wonderful girl friend named Kelly. Imagine a beautiful redhead who also happens to be very scarcastic. She's almost completely perfect guys. I mean she has a firm body and a great mind. It's really a blast just to go out and hang with her and her friends or spend a night in watching a movie. Everyone needs inspiration and she's been the best inspiration for me. Heh, she's also very nosey. She wanted to know where I kept a live journal but I wouldn't tell here :-D. You all know how it is, like, none of you know me personally so I don't mind posting my thoughts and ideas here. God if anyone I knew actually checked this I'd never live it down.
NEW SONG!!
Well I just found a new artist that I really like; Michelle Branch. It's really funny because I don't normally appreciate country music, but recently I've found some great songs. I guess it's just that classic rock and Hard rock haven't been coming up with anything that sounds different from what's already out there. I mean, GOD, all the creed songs sound exactly the same!
Well that's it for now, later all.

Rhor
2002-02-08 09:24:32
I'm really happy today. Although many games of unreal tournament last night taught me that I suck compared to about half of campus, I also have a new member for Fallen Angle Studios. He surprised me by sending me an e-mail asking if he could join and added a few wallpapers that he'd made. I was very impressed by the wallpapers which are now on my website for download. He's going to mail me his videos for review and we'll just have to see if he's talented enough for fallen angle studios. I think that he probably is.

Aluminums Studio's
2001-12-03 19:06:52
Rock on!! I just found out that Aluminum Studios is back up and running. This is great because Aluminums Studios (www.aluminumstudios.com) and Amberhaze productions (www.amberhaze.com) were the first two music videos that I watched (folloed by OV's Eva Uninspired video). That combination really made me want to work with music video editing. It's great to have you back Aluminums Studio!
Special thanks to Scott (you know who you are) for sending me to the mindwarpet site which had the link back to aluminum. :)
