Cold university is cold. It's freezing up here in Milwaukee. Also, I just erg'd (rowing machines) 12.7k in 60minutes, so I'm a little on the ded side. Anyways, I think I said something about writing a more amv-relevant post last time, so maybe I should do that.
Now that I'm back at school I haven't been editing as much, but the fact that I actually do have something in the works is a good sign, even though it's just something short to get me going. Seeing that acen contest post has started to get me thinking of an actual solo project though. I have an idea for one, that will get done at some point (that reminds me I have to send out $11 :O ), but I don't think I want to do it for acen since it's a pretty short song. We'll see though. I don't think I can get away with being a bum and not making anything new for acen, plus I want to edit anyways so it works out. Maybe I should do more than one solo vid this year lawl. It feels like I learned a lot last year though, so I probably should get around to applying it. Plus, collabing on Ayumix2 was the best editing experience ever, so I don't feel so bad for slacking off on my own stuff. Either way, I'll try to edit more this year. Um yeah.
VCAs make me lawl. Definitely some good vids being nominated that deserve the recognition. It'll be interesting to see how things go with that, as well as the JCAs that are running parallel with it. Maybe I'll get around to posting in the VCA pimping threads some day. >>
But what's even more interesting than these huge award things is the iron chef contest. Three VNS members in the final four? FUCK YEAH. Good luck to the three of them in the next round. It will most definitely be an interesting show. >:D VNS FTW.
I've had this random feeling of wanting to leave some ops lately. Perhaps it's because I haven't left any since like last March, but I think it's fair to say that after doing 20+ free ops in the span of 3 weeks that I have a good reason for being burnt out with the opinion giving (though that exchange was more than good times and I wouldn't have had it any other way :p). Maybe this spur of generosity will hit sometime in the near future? Who knows? I don't. :O
Anyways, I should end this. Hmmm ending thoughts. Well, I wish it were the spring, because I wouldn't be cold as a mofo, we'd be back on the water for crew, and this waiting game would be over and there'd be a Dusti down the street. Sure that has nothing to do with the rest of the post, but oh well.
Well, I guess we'll just see how it goes. -

Online Iron Chef v3.0 Recap

For the last two months or so, I've been lucky enough to participate in the online iron chef tournament that Brad's been heading up. It's been good times all around, and I'm glad I was fortunate enough to participate in this one since I wasn't around for the last two. I made it down to the final 16 in round 3, which is more than surprising considering all I do is mess around while ICing. >> My sister/twin/other half/best friend was the one responsible for knocking me out in round 3, and it was the frickin best match ever. Skyping with your opponent throughout the entire match has a tendency to do that. XD That also makes me the second VNS member to lose to another studiomate, and so far, the only VNS losses have been to each other. :O I like Nancy's plan for the rest of the tournament. XD Lots of luck to Krat, Josh, and Danielle, and I can't wait to see how this tournament plays out. :)
