Days 11 and 12 of 'Lost Ones'

More lip synching and another part of the chorus done. With break started, I hope to get the majority of this video done, that way once school starts back up I can start getting feedback and making final touches before the big Katsu deadline.
Been really busy with school this week because break starts now. Job interview on the 30th. Too bad I wanted that job like a month ago. We'll see how that goes. -
Days 9 and 10 of 'Lost Ones'

Definitely haven't updated this in a little whlie. Monday and Tuesday I didn't get a chance to work on the amv at all. Wednesday I got a lot finished with the verse, and today I worked on the first half of the chorus (thanks to yet another snow day). I finally got to try my hand at lip-synching, and I'm satisfied with the way it turned out. I only plan on using it for one particular phrase that gets repeated a few times througout the song.
A month from Wednesday is the Katsucon deadline, and I've got about a quarter of the amv done. I will force myself to finish it by that deadline.
April 1st is the Anime Central 2006 deadline. I'll have a bit more time for that one. -
Day 8 of 'Lost Ones'

Another snow day, so that meant more time to work on the AMV. I'm kind of ashamed of the fact that I didn't get more done. The intro is pretty much 'finished', save this one short part, but of course, nothing will be completley finished until I send it in. If I didn't have to get up early for all-district try-outs tomorrow, I'd probably try to start up the verse tonight. I'm happy with the little progress I made today though, so yeah, good stuff.
The extra memory chip that we got off of my dad's friend messed up the computer because it's from a third-party or something. Boo.
Listening to Bobby aka The Rai-Rai on the FFR Radio right now. Makes me want to rave like kraaaaaazy. -
Days 6 and 7 of 'Lost Ones'

So two days ago I continued to work diligently on my AMV project. I was starting to get a little frustrated with my computer because of how slow it was moving, but I kept pushing through. Yesterday I realized I had been neglecting to compress my .avi clips with HuffyUV, so I wrote down everyone of my edits and went back through everything I had done up to that point. I had to recompress everything, and set up all the things I had changed. I have a little more left to do, but as much as a hassle as it was, I'm glad it happened. First off, it freed up a ton of space, since the compressed files only take up a third of what they would have had I not gone and fixed it, and I was able to fix a few minor things I had overlooked. Paying attention to detail is a concept that has been pounded into me, so it was good to be able to find a couple small things to fix.
I've realized that it might be harder to get my username changed than I had originally thought...hmmm... -
Days 4 and 5 of 'Lost Ones'

These last two days have been productive, but not to the point where I had met my goal of having the intro done by the time the weekend was up. Since we don't have school tomorrow due to the "krazy" amounts of snow (silly county) I intend on getting more of this done. I already know what I want to do so maybe my pace will be a little quicker, just hopefully not to the point that I'll overlook something.
To my understanding, the Katsucon contest date has been pushed back to January 14th, so that gives me a little more time to work with. I'm sure I'll keep up this few hours a day devoted to the AMV though so I can fine tune it and things of that nature.
I'm looking forward to getting to the verse of the song because of the style change, which I hope my AMV will reflect as well. Things will be a little slower paced, and I'll have some lyrics too. So yeah, looking forward to that.
Wow these projects take up a long time, but I'm enjoying myself, so I hope it turns out well.
I think I'm going to try and get my name for this site changed sometime before the Katsu deadline. This one doesn't really seem to fit what I do on this site anymore (aka becoming more active)...
