- MS Day 7 2006-09-10 19:29:55 Well today I made (dare I say) progress on the video I haven't consistently worked on in about 2 months now. Sure it was only about eight seconds or so, but at least it's something I actually feel comfortable with rather than the bit I was working on last night, which I can only tolerate. The purpose for editing last night was so that I could mentally get past this one section and start getting other things finished without constantly going back to that one little part. It seems to have worked since today I was able to do a few things that are past that point. Hopefully I can keep this up, even if it is only this little bit of progress everyday, or even every few days.

So I edited this evening. I decided to try some different things to try and fuel some creativity, especially after I realized my computer headphones could reach to the couch. I was tired, so I put the song I'm using on loop while I started to fall asleep and enter that dream-like phase right before you actually zonk out. I "woke" up after that and had some ideas, but nothing too revolutionary. It was interesting nonetheless, and I'll probably do it again sometime XD
As for the editing itself, I worked on that part that had been giving me issues. I tried a few different things with it until I got to a point where I could at least tolerate the scene selection, so maybe now I can finally get past and work on more of the video, then just come back to this part once I start to wrap things up. That's still a long ways off though...
You know, I'd really like to finish two more videos by the end of this year, including the one I'm on now. Of course it's going to be hard, and considering my recent track record, it probably won't happen, but I'd at least like to try. It's so much easier for me to edit during the winter, because I don't have a million and one things going on. But yeah, I think I'll just...
GO FOR IT - 2006-09-06 22:49:24 Well I've had a hard time editing this current project of mine for a few different reasons, the main one being time constraints. Also, there's just this one little area in the project that I'm having a hard time with, and I think that discouragement is making it harder for me to edit as well. Of course I don't want to give it up, it just seems that what I've been trying hasn't been working. I think re-watching the series would do me some good as well, but for now I'm going to continue to sleep on it , since this project is what I think about nearly every night before I go to bed. Need to put the song on repeat and just absorb it...

Both school and marching band have started, thus forcing down my editing time to a teensy little block. YARGH.
