MS Days 15 and 16

While I was in Ohio, I thought a lot about the video, so these last couple days have been full of progress. I also came up with a title while I was there so yay f or that.
Yeah so I'm practically done. Did the more tedious stuff today so tomorrow should be smooth sailing. I fully intended to have the video done by this point, but my boyfriend ended up getting off work early so we hung out. It cut into my editing time a bit, but naturally we had a good time, especially with not seeing each other for a few days. Also, I would be up into the wee hours of the morning doing this if I didn't have to be at work at 11am tomorrow and had an 8 hour shift >:|
Anyways, like I said, I made a solid amount of progress these last couple days. I'm sooo close to being done and I'm ready just to finish. Too bad it's almost 3am and I have to work yaaaaaaargh. Wow now that I think about it, I've been editing on and off for a good 12 hours o.o Hopefully I'll finish it tomorrow, then get it out to some beta testers, make the necessary changes, and finally release it. Ah and let's not forget about all that intro/outro/graphic/sig jazz. At least that stuff only takes like an hour max.

So another one of those catch-up entries. Since the last time I updated about the vid, I've finished about another 1:20 of the video, so I'm almost done. I've sent it out to just a few people, and the feedback has been positive, plus I've been getting some really really good constructive criticism. But yeah, I'm so close to finishing, just need to add, change, and/or throw out some things. My goal with this has been to challenge myself by trying new things, and giving justice to such a great band and an even more amazing series. Hopefully this vid will accomplish that.
I'm leaving for Ohio in a few hours and I won't be back until some time Friday. I'm going to try and finish it this week since I'm on break. I'll just think about it and put some ideas on paper while I'm traveling, and maybe even think up some things for another video... - Major props to Kristyrat! 2006-11-20 18:45:02 Congratulations to Kristyrat for winning Best Technical with his video "Crimson Memories" at AC^3 this past weekend!

zomg progress. Finally. It was nice to just chill and edit and not have to worry about any other obligations. I was mentally prepared to edit, so maybe that's why this session was more productive than the other recent ones. I have a little more than a minute left to still get on the timeline, but my ideas for that are solid, it's just a matter of subclipping and playing with things really. Even though I'm working, these next few days off of school might allow me to get a beta out by next week...just maybe.
It feels good to edit again. -

I don't even know what day it is for this little project of mine that has been taking forever. Not having free time sucks, a lot. School has been harder than usual these last 9 weeks, and now it's the start of a new quarter. I have to bust my butt so I can have better grades by semester. So yeah, school sucks. Whatever.
Anyways, I actually did some editing the other day. To be honest, it was Koop that got me re-motivated on the video. I had been stuck for a while, and he put it best when he said I was feeling burnt out by the video. He gave me a few things to try out, so it at least gave me somewhere to start with in my next editing session. I have a 4 day weekend, so I'd like to get a whole lot more done with this. Actually, what I'd really like to do is get a beta of it by the end of this. Impossible? Maybe. We'll see what happens.
