CDVV vs. VNS IC Recap (thus far)

Alright so over the course of the last week the CDVV vs. VNS Iron Chef tournament has been going on. Last Thursday night, Kisanzi, SenshiMamoru and I all did a little practice IC match, just to get into the swing of things. It was pretty beneficial, especially since Josh and I had never iron chefed before. I ended up coming in third out of the three of us, but again it was just a scrimmage and I learned quite a bit. Definitely made things on Saturday, which was the day of the real IC, a lot easier.
Saturday VNS beat CDVV 3-1 in round one of the tournament. I lost to Ileia 2-1 (yay Moonie!), but it was a lot of fun and yeah good times :D Anyways, my boys beat the rest of the CDVV guys, thus eliminating them from the tourney. The judges commented on how they were surprised by the quality of all the videos considering they were all ICs, so I thought that was pretty cool.
Competition continued Monday night with Ileia vs. Kisanzi. They each had a different song and anime, and Ileia just straight up owned Matt. Both videos were awesome, but Ileia's vid definitely didn't look like it was made in 2 hours. Impressive stuff indeed. Here's the thread from round 2:

SenshiMamoru vs. Ileia tomorrow. I'm sure it'll be a good match. We'll see how it goes.
Personally, the tournament was definitely good times. I hope Brad heads up another one of those big online IC tournaments like in 2005. It'd be interesting to see all the new editors that'd like to give this kind of thing a shot. Oh and let's not forget that I want to do this again XD - :o 2007-02-01 04:02:53 Teal Nom with Rop got into the Katsucon amv contest. The romance category is gonna be a party with Jub's, Scoob's, and Rina's vid in there too. Figures the year I don't go the contest is actually good and organize well. Anyway, yayz exposurez and stuffz. zzzzzzzzzzz
