Man, Okay I tried to install the hardrive and my computer is totally screwed. I'm talking about so screwed that when u cut it on nothing shows up on the monitor, I don't know whats going on >_< I haven't been able to do anything to it for a week.
Right now I'm over my uncle's house trying to look up some stuff and get some help, I think I need to update my bios.
blah. This sucks
Lemme see, firts thing I did was simply connect the hard drive to the secondary master, the little jumper was in the right place (I think) and connected power source of course and cut my computer on.
It said hard disk boot error or something so i started screwin around with the bios and uh did something to make sure that it was detected... then one time I cut it on, and the hard drive was doing something, a lot of FLICKTED letters came up on the screen, then my moniter simply said, "out of range" after then , I haven't seen a single image from the monitor other then the self test bouncing around the screen HAUNTING Me, MOCKING ME
YES I KNOW THIS MONITOR IS WORKING, I CHECKED THE BLOODY CORD
IT MUST BE THE COMPUTER, I'M CHECKING THE COMPUTER, STOP HAUNTING ME.
I tried reseting the bios by moving some jumpas
i tried replacing that little battery on the motherboard
I tried a whole lotta messs gaaaaah
gaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
SO now i'm going to try updating the bios... my mom called this guy who's saying that u shouldn't use two hard drives that u should move everything onto the newer 40 gb one.
talked to some ppl from best buy and they said thats craaap
I think if this doesn't work i'ma let best buy diagnos it for 20 bucks.. err......
you all may not hear from me for a while :S and sorry I haven't able to turn on those downloads on weekends. - ^.^ 2002-05-10 20:16:40 haha as soon as i pressed enter on that last journal entry ups just came and delivered my hard drive ^.^ i'm a lil cheered up now FOR THE MOMENT
