i'm behind on getting ahead on my homework if that makes any sense. ah well, that's what tomorrow's for (that and catching upon reviews.)
it looks like a gathering of sorts is going on at what con. should be fun and hopefully a good meal.
everyone else is talking about reading and such right now so i may as well chip in on what my books of the moment are, which are the harry potter series. tolkien fans can bitch all they want, potter's a very fun read for the dollar, and i find the books immensely relaxing when i read through them. i haven't read jordan, so no comment, but i did read the beginning of anthony's xanth series, but lost interest after he wrote out all the characters i liked. incarnations of immortality, on the other hand, kicked ass (at least the 5 i read...i really should pick up 6 and 7 one day.)
video progress.....on hiatus. got some great comments on the beta of my katsucon video from shonendizzycow (everyone go give him reviews!) and it helped me think of what the goal is with this piece.
there's another project in mind right now, but it shall be announced next weekend at the con =) -

got through my long days. this means i can use tomorrow and friday (and the weekend) to try and get ahead and even out my workload.
i'm still tremendously tired though.
ran off a test run of the director's cut of the katsu vid with some of the post-premiere stuff for the first time. it's looking good.
what-con's next weekend. going for 2 days. should be fun.
i suppose one way to make sure people are reading this is to offer the chance to beta test to someone who emails me from reading the journal.
but sorry folks, this one's on a VERY closed list of allowable viewers. you'll see it in february. -

classes were much better today. things seem to be falling back into place as well.
I won't get to see Ole's receital tonite...too much work.
in fact, this entry is just for me to get my head cleared as to what homework i have to do tonite:
german - read handouts, do non-listening part of workbook
music - look over handouts, check syllabus for other stuff
euro history - nothing (intro level classes rock for this reason)
strat theory - do writeup on mahan book chapters 1-3 (this book is interesting but quite condensed...very slow but informative reading)
english - start doing rough draft writeup. this isn't due until thursday, but it's nice to get it out of the way.
so that's what i have to do tonite. the generic rule for this semester is if i can survive through wednesday nite i'm good for a couple days, but i'm trying to stay on top of my homework just so that it doesn't sneak up on me (that and so my exams don't sneak up on me either)
nope, looks like i don't have time to bug out for a concert tonite. i shouldn't even be writing this, but it's helped clear my head of work. now if only it could clear my head of everything else.... -

today has been one of those days that just out and out suck.
slept poorly last nite. got up, got to class later than usual.
got a crappy grade on my german exam when i'd studied really hard for it. i thought i'd done really well on it, but no, i got a fucking c. great way to start the day.
got to music class. found out that any of the songs i'd thought of singing are out and that the ta's concert is tomorrow nite. i should prolly go just for suckup points and so i can take some notes and do my writeup, but i really don't like doing it on people i'm familiar with....if i trashed his performance (which i wouldn't do - don't know enough) it could fuck me over for the rest of the semester.
bought my copy packet for euro history. $13 for some shitty set of xeroxes. i've had thicker packets that cost less too. *sigh*
euro history was so damn boring today. the readings have been getting kinda thick for that too. at least it'll be an easy exam.
strat theory...ugh. i love the material and the subject matter, but i feel so fucking stupid every time i get to class, and i always misinterpret the reading, so i get to look forward to getting a paper back telling me i'm wrong twice a week.
got home, at least the mail was good. got my otakon AMV tapes and some cels that i'd ordered a while ago. haven't had a chance to watch the tapes, but the cels were cool.
mikhail once again pulled his standard no-show. i just want him to pick up his fucking tapes...first they're taking up space, second he owes me money for them, but the lazy bastard never bothers to get up here when he's supposed to. i guess i can always hunt him down at what con.
i hate television. everyone else but me is a huge tv watcher, so it's impossible to find a good place to study most of the time in this apartment, and i hate studying in libraries.
did what i could understand of my homework...my english instructor (a TA for a 300 level class *ugh*) piles on the work....60 pages of reading, review 2 other papers (and the 2nd person who was supposed to send me theirs DIDN'T, AND no-showed friday when he was supposed to deliver the hard copy and his ranma tapes....now i don't even have his email copy)...also had to go over my presentation for tomorrow.
did some looking over for german, things are starting to get complicated.
started my strat theory reading....took me an hour to do 40 pages and i've got another 20some. the book's interesting, just really really dense and compressed so there's a lot of information to take in over just a few pages. got to read the last chapter tomorrow and do my writeup just to be told i'm wrong again.
also have film class tomorrow...in theory we'll actually go over stuff. haven't looked at the book (which sucked) for 3 weeks now...class keeps getting cancelled. i doubt this'll actually get pulled off...and that paper's starting soon.
oy. work work work work stress stress stress stress.
now i'm going to try and get some sleep and hopefully in 7 hours 45 min i'll have regained some sanity. -

work has begun on the katsu director's cut. most everything is in place the way it should be (tho it will all have to be retweaked) and i'm playing with the segue in the introduction.
i have food for the next week now. this is probably the only time i miss having a car, when i need to get groceries. of course, my license expired last month so it doesn't really matter anyways.
and i have got to work harder in german...i wanna study abroad this summer, dammit!
