  • more lyrics (just in the mood for it) 2001-11-21 00:34:00 Hey man I'm making moves and I am
so much strong than you I am
so much stronger I'm so much stronger
    than you -
    Everybody thinks the way that
    we thought we thought ahead
    and look what we got
Well I did not invent this world
call my words a string of pearls
but you will find the sheen
    soon loses luster.
Meanwhile the world would try to mend
the future looked like the forties
and we were ready we were ready we were...
This isn't the way I dreamed
it would be someday (this is
what I've settled for) if I had
the chance I'd find a better way
    I had some fine dreams
    I traded them away
The future looked like the 40's
    and we were ready
    Hey man I'm making moves
and I am so much stronger than you
Stream of the talk fire the top away
says in a books on my dusty shelf
    "HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF"

  • rant rant rant.... 2001-11-21 00:10:34 you're the cockroach in my jam
you're the hepatitis in my clam
you're the extra 10 pounds on my scale
you're the letter bomb in my mail
you're the splinter on my pinky
    you're a diaper with a stinky

i could die from the things that you've said
and i've wished many times you were dead
you're a tart and a tease but in bed
you're the love of my life

you're the bad review on my opening night
you're the turbulance on my flight
you're the chip on my front tooth
you're the vacancy sign at my ticket booth
you're the sand in my bikini
you're the end of my martini

i can never get through to your head
and for you i have cried and i've bled
you're a wonk and a snob but in bed
you're the love of my life

in bed we're two pussycats howling in heat
or ravenous tigers in search of some meat
out of bed, by breakfast at each other's throat
over your wayward past, your diploma, you choat

    in bed we're a dance, we're a pure positude
we're a cherry pie, butterfly day at the zoo
out of bed we just quibble and bicker and fight
over nonsense like who wears the dildo tonight

you're the raincloud on my vacation
you're the rush limbaugh on my station
you're the yankees to my dodgers
you're the postman with a gun to my roy rogers
you're the johnny cochrain to my prosecution
you're the day of my execution

this relationship fills me with dread
but think i think of your legs unspread
soon enough i wind up back in bed
yes we have to spend more time in bed
yes we should never get out of bed
for the rest of our lives!!

so anyways, been trying to tweak the katsu vid, and i just can't find stuff i'm willing to pick apart anymore...so now it's time for beta viewings, get feedback, and revise again. but for now, i'm willing to call it finished.

colonialism paper's done. ootta do my two german essays and start my film paper

and the fucking GW class filled up before the consortium office got me registered...hopefully the prof will let me oversubscribe. otherwise i'm totally fucked for next semester if not my degree as a whole - i need that class to get my concentration in time.

my roommate needs a new job. he got fired from his last one, and i'm remembering why i hate having roommates who like television - his is always on (that or he's talking back to his IRC window...) i think he's gonna want me to teach him how do ripping and stuff for AMV and i know that i just don't have the patience to handle that. he's also staying in for most of thanksgiving - i was hoping to have a few days to myself. i really need the quiet and the me-time. so much for that idea.

and in the meantime, love of my life (the song whose lyrics i posted above) just keeps repeating itself on my mp3 player. it was in an early draft of rent and got cut and replaced with take me or leave me. it's odd, most of the songs from rent that i really connect to are the ones that got cut. maybe that means something. i have no idea why i like this song so much either. they lyrics are hokey and musically it's not that great, and it has nothing to do with me (i'm neither a lesbian nor female) but i think it's just the frustration and helplessness of the piece.

and tonite's the second time i've been grumbly enough about stuff with ddr project to contemplate having my vid pulled from it. grah.

it's tempting to tag this as private, but who knows, mebbe someone'll read it and have something worthwhile to comment, or i'll find a new renthead on the boards through it or something.....

or everyone will just point and laugh.
  • to ani-punk: 2001-11-20 17:46:09 I don't post my real name on the org

you think i'm nuts?! there's people out there who may want me dead, or injured, or at least incapable of rendering judgement on another video!
  • Quu wanted a post.... 2001-11-19 20:00:32 so here's one.

The hellish colonialism paper's been hacked out, gotta do footnotes and a biblio still, but that's not much.

And it's comedian night on weakest link. this should be good!
  • Hey Rae... 2001-11-17 20:23:09 I've been following most of the articles about the movie via the leaky cauldron (http://www.the-leaky-cauldron.org) and never saw anything about that (Rowling wanting it changed to a death....especially with how she handles Harry and Wormtail)

As far as a 4.5 hour cut, that's standard for all films - it's a cut that uses every angle of every shot, so it'll have one scene ie three times (three camera angles) in a row and then the next and the next...it helps the director pick what they want to use.

The only way I'll buy the DVD is if Rowling herself does a commentary track. Otherwise I'll shoot the sound designer myself.
