i need to do a shitload of reading by monday.
it most likely won't get done. which is very unfortunate - it's actually important reading.
i need to prep for my in class english essay.
hopefully that will get done.
i need to write another 8-13 pages on my paper for film class.
that will partially get done.
this is all by monday, btw.
i'm gonna try to get a lot done this weekend actually.
the problem is that i'm just so fucking tired of EVERYTHING. it's not really depression, and i doubt it's mono, i'm just exhausted. i've been trying to put energy into all the crap i'm doing and all it's done is drain me dry. this is what happens when every class you take is important.
and next semester's not gonna be a hell of a lot better.

went to the university's "film production club" which is new...
it reminds me why i hate getting involved with groups and stuff.
first off, this club is extremely disorganized. you would think that if you're just starting up that you want everything to be *perfect* and sparkly and ready to show off to people.
second, everyone already knows each other from classes. it's not like they've just been together at club for the last few weeks and have gotten to know each other, this was like "bla bla bla"...
third, because of number two, i felt very isolated...no one really talked to me, which IMHO is fine...i believe in a lurker period online and one IRL doesn't hurt either - i asked a few questions tho which led me to #4...
they're "filming" on dv. no one deals with film at all. and it seems like they've got everyone they need for production/post production and all they want is scriptwriters (something i just don't have the energy for)
number five, they're trying to take on 3 bits at once. for a club without a budget this is pretty damn interesting, as they have 0 finished scripts yet. my favorite line of the night is "i've got this great idea for a script and while i haven't started it yet i'll have it ready to shoot next thursday as long as i get a permission to screen it in something resembling a diner."
and that came from the guy in charge.
script #2 is long and about half done, but the guy responsible for it no-showed. hmmmmmmmmmm....
script #3...well, it's a funny story but i can't see it working on stage. film would work, but for a group with no budget it's a bit of a stretch.
number six, it's got that elitist feeling to the members. everyone's tried to intern with some director, met so and so, has a friend whose parent knows him and her and so on...
give me AMV any day. -

you'd think that with my nafarious reputation on the .org boards that someone here would be the first to try to do something against me...
instead it's some twit from my english class....sent me a 39k wav file and for some reason i feel incredibly paranoid about opening it, probably because of the fact that most of my english class hates my guts. it reminds me of high school where me and one or two other people are the only intelligent folks in the class....
i should just be evil and fwd this to the full list for the class and say "i think this was supposed to go out to everyone" but that would be horribly immature of me, wouldn't it. -

you'd think that with pottermania it would be easier to find a decent stuffed owl toy....
still, for someone who's *not* looking for a snowy owl and wanting one that doesn't look like a total kid's item (yes, technically they are, but still...) it's damn near impossible to find one that actually maintains the dignity and majesticness of the actual birds.
proof once again i guess that mammals and turtles make the best plush toys.
